The Club World Cup is coming up and Flamengo is looking for reinforcements to make a good impression in the international tournament. However, no actual names have been announced, but speculations are always rife. In this sense, an old acquaintance of the fans could be "digging" for a spot in coach Filipe Luís' team.
Andreas Pereira, currently at Fulham , has frequent conversations with the red-black commander and expresses a strong desire to return to the Rio de Janeiro club, where he played between 2021 and 2022.

In an interview with the videocast “Toca e Passa” from the newspaper O Globo, Andreas revealed that he exchanges messages with Filipe Luís, praising his work as a coach and, jokingly, sending “honks” as a fan, such as when he says that Flamengo “needs a midfielder”
"Only God knows (laughs). I've always made it clear that if I return to Brazil, my first option is Flamengo, where I feel comfortable. I have great friends there, I played with Arrascaeta, with Gerson in the national team... I also know that I would fit into Filipe Luís' team, who is a great friend. We talk a lot," he said.
"But it's something that's still up in the air. I have a two-year contract with Fulham, a club that opened its doors to me and I respect that. But I became a Flamengo fan, and this connection with Flamengo will always be special," he concluded.
Andreas is not a priority for Filipe Luís , nor for the red-black board at the moment, especially because the coach already has players like De La Cruz and Jorginho for the second midfielder position, where he sees Andreas playing. The high cost of the transfer, estimated at 18 million euros (R$ 119.5 million), is also a factor that weighs against the negotiation at the moment. Added to this, the club is looking for a player to replace Arrascaeta.
In short, Andreas almost ended up at Palmeiras , however the negotiations did not go through and the player stayed in England.

Flamengo begins its journey towards the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores this Thursday (18) . The first leg against Estudiantes (ARG) will be held at Maracanã, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), and will have a full house.
All tickets were sold in advance, guaranteeing an estimated attendance of around 69,000. The expectation is that the Red-Black Nation will fill every section of the stadium , transforming the Maracanã into a cauldron to push the team toward victory.
The team will have important reinforcements. Striker Bruno Henrique and full-back Varela , who were absent last Sunday (14) against Juventude, in the Brazilian Championship , trained normally this Tuesday (16) and should be available to the coach again.
Despite their returns, Rubro-Negro will remain without midfielder Jorginho, full-back Alex Sandro, and defensive midfielder Pulgar , who are still recovering. The likely lineup for the game includes: Rossi; Royal (Varela), Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, Ayrton Lucas (Viña); Saúl, De La Cruz (Allan), Arrascaeta; Plata, Samuel Lino, and Pedro.

Sesc Flamengo already has a full squad ready to begin its preparations for the season's main competitions. Last Monday (15), the club welcomed names eagerly awaited by the fans: winger Helena , opposite Tainara, middle blocker Lorena and libero Laís, bronze medalists at the World Championships in Thailand, as well as Serbian middle blocker Maša Kirov, who also played in the Asian tournament and is one of the group's new additions.
