In his latest press conferences, coach Tite has harshly criticized the Brazilian calendar. However, the sequence of games has also generated debate in Europe. Manchester City (ING) steering wheel, Rodri revealed that some athletes plan to go on strike due to wear and tear.

"I think we're close to that (the strike). It's easy to understand. If you ask any other player, they'll say the same If it continues like this, there will come a time when we will have no other option. It's something that worries us because we are the guys who suffer", said Rodri, this Tuesday (17).

"In my humble opinion, opinion, I think it's too much. We or someone has to take care of us, because we are the main characters in this sport, or business, or whatever you want to call it. It's not all about money or marketing, it's also about the quality of the show. rested, I play better. If people want to see better football, we need to rest. When the number of games starts to increase, performance and quality decrease", added the Manchester City athlete.

CHANGES IN CALENDAR

UEFA has increased the number of Champions League games for the 2024/25 season. Thus, each team will have up to four more matches than previously. Furthermore, in June next year, the new FIFA Club World Cup will take place, which could further increase the number of matches.

At the end of 2023, Pep Guardiola, Rodri's coach, did not show excitement with the tournament. Therefore, there is a possibility that Manchester City will not take its main athletes to the competition.
