O time entra em campo neste sábado (1º), às 21h (de Brasília), contra o Sport Recife, no Maracanã, pela 31ª rodada da competição. O confronto será transmitido ao vivo pelo Premiere, no pay-per-view, e também pelo SporTV, em canal por assinatura.
Atualmente na segunda colocação, com 61 pontos, o Rubro-Negro está a apenas um do líder Palmeiras (62). Uma vitória em casa pode recolocar a equipe comandada por Filipe Luís no topo da tabela, reacendendo a disputa direta pelo título nacional.
Após uma verdadeira batalha contra o Racing (ARG) na semifinal da Libertadores, o técnico Filipe Luís optou por realizar algumas mudanças na escalação titular, preservando atletas desgastados e dando oportunidade a nomes que vêm pedindo espaço.
