The George Helal Training Center has a week marked by the re-presentation of Flamengo's youth categories at the end of January. After another record season of titles, 44 wins in 2023, the Boys of the Ninho returned to work after carrying out clinical, nutritional and physiological reassessments.

While the U20s returned to training with an eye on the following competitions, the U20 categories 17, U16, U15 and subsequent teams began the pre-season in search of once again training winning athletes with the Rubro-Negro DNA.

The 2024 season for the last training stage had already started in December with the preparation for the Copa São Paulo and the Carioca Championship competition representing the professional team in the first rounds.

This Tuesday (30), the Garotos do Ninho got together and started the preparation led by Mario Jorge and committee for the Conmebol Libertadores competition in the category, which will be played in March, in Uruguay. Mengão will meet their opponents next week, when the group draw will take place, and will only travel at the end of February, on the 29th.

The U20 B category will also have an important commitment in February. Mengão will compete in the Under-19 International Tournament, in Morocco, and travel to the African country on the 17th. Soon after the honorable campaign in the Copinha, reaching the semi-final, coach Raphael Bahia took over the category and started planning.< /p>

With the promotion of Filipe Luís to the under-20s and Eduardo Zuma to the under-17s of Flamengo, many changes took place in Mais Querido's youth categories. The promotion of the coaches facilitated the appreciation of the work of Vinicius Durante, who is now in charge of the under-16s and Daniel Franklin, who took over the under-15s. As for the under-14s, Thiago de Camilis, formerly of Botafogo, took over this past Wednesday (3).

Vinicius took over the under-16s recently but is already preparing the team to compete in the category's Brasil Soccer Cup . Mais Querido is two-time champion of the competition and is looking for a third title.

REUNION OF THE "WINNING UNION"

In Mais Querido's under-15 team, Daniel Franklin returns to be coach from the 2009 generation, which won seven youth titles in 2023 under the coach's command in the under-14s. The professional in the Rubro-Negro category revealed that he was very happy to be able to work with his former athletes again.

EX-BOTAFOGO IN COMMAND OF THE U-14

Finally, the sub Flamengo's -14 will be led by Thiago Camilis, who has the responsibility of maintaining Mais Querido's winning generation. The coach spent the last three years with General Severiano's under-20 team and highlighted the opportunity to be able to work at a big club like Rubro-Negro.

“It's a huge source of pride, right? Being part of a club the size of Flamengo, the biggest club in Brazil, one of the biggest in the world. Of course, it is every professional's dream to participate in this great club. What I expect here is what every fan always expects from any professional who is wearing this shirt: to win many titles, to be able to develop the players' assets and deliver them to a better level than they already were at the top category", said Thiago.
