Mengão's base categories have a week full of assessments and training

The George Helal Training Center has a week marked by the re-presentation of Flamengo's youth categories at the end of January. After another record season of titles, 44 wins in 2023, the Boys of the Ninho returned to work after carrying out clinical, nutritional and physiological reassessments.
While the U20s returned to training with an eye on the following competitions, the U20 categories 17, U16, U15 and subsequent teams began the pre-season in search of once again training winning athletes with the Rubro-Negro DNA.
The 2024 season for the last training stage had already started in December with the preparation for the Copa São Paulo and the Carioca Championship competition representing the professional team in the first rounds.
This Tuesday (30), the Garotos do Ninho got together and started the preparation led by Mario Jorge and committee for the Conmebol Libertadores competition in the category, which will be played in March, in Uruguay. Mengão will meet their opponents next week, when the group draw will take place, and will only travel at the end of February, on the 29th.
The U20 B category will also have an important commitment in February. Mengão will compete in the Under-19 International Tournament, in Morocco, and travel to the African country on the 17th. Soon after the honorable campaign in the Copinha, reaching the semi-final, coach Raphael Bahia took over the category and started planning.< /p>

This Saturday morning (6), Garotos do Ninho took to the field against Bangu, and secured another victory in the Guanabara Cup. Mais Querido won by the score of 3-0, with all the goals being scored in the second half.
Remember that Filipe Luís does not lead the under-20s at Carioca, as he is preparing the team for the Brasileirão and the World Cup of Clubs, against Olympiacos.
