O Diário Olé, Argentina's main sports newspaper, reported on its social networks that the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) has already decided on the venue for the Copa Libertadores de América final. According to the publication, the game will take place at the recently renovated Monumental de Nuñez, River Plate's stadium. The entity has not yet officially commented.
The Copa Libertadores 2024 final is scheduled for November 30th, a Saturday. It will be the sixth unique final of the competition since the model was adopted in 2019. The Monumental de Nuñez has undergone extensive renovation in recent years and has become the stadium with the largest audience capacity on the South American continent. The River Plate field holds 85 thousand people.
Conmebol established the only final of its continental cups in 2019. In the case of the Libertadores, the finals were held in Lima (2019), Rio de Janeiro (2020 ), Montevideo (2021), Guayaquil (2022), Rio de Janeiro (2023).
