This Sunday (1), Flamengo faces Corinthians, at the Neo Química Arena, in the Brasileirão. The match, at 4:00 pm (Brasília time), will be Tite's first match as a visitor at the São Paulo black and white stadium. Timão is in the relegation zone of the championship, which led journalist Milton Neves to state that the São Paulo team will be “buried” after the duel with Rubro-Negro.

“Corinthians 1 x 5 Flamengo. Tite’s Flamengo will finish burying the fragile helm”, said Milton for the game valid for the 25th round of the Brasileirão. In the first round match, at Maracanã, Mais Querido won 2-0, with goals from Pedro and Lorran. It was Tite's first match against his former club in 15 years.

In 2023, Tite had already been announced as Flamengo's coach before facing Corinthians at the Neo Química Arena. However, the coach did not have time to train Rubro-Negro and did not go to the edge of the field in the duel against his former team. The coach debuted in front of Mengão in the following game, against Cruzeiro, at Mineirão. The match in question ended in a 1-1 draw, with Gerson scoring Mais Querido's goal.

Coach Tite will have to choose a different team for the next game against Corinthians. De La Cruz left the field of play against Bahia due to an injury, and Michael, who would be an option for the match, was also injured in the back of his thigh after just ten minutes on the field in the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil.< /p>

The doubt remains for the midfield. Léo Ortiz can continue as midfielder. But Argentine Carlos Alcaraz is regularized and can make his debut against Corinthians. The player has already trained with the team, the expectation is that he will remain on the bench, but there could still be surprises. Alex Sandro is also ready, but is being prepared for the game on September 15th, against Vasco da Gama.

Probable Flamengo lineup: Rossi; Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas; Erick Pulgar, Léo Ortiz (Carlos Alcaraz), Gerson; Luiz Araújo, Bruno Henrique and Pedro.

In the relationship between Gabigol and coach Tite at Flamengo, only the field is capable of speaking. Between the striker and coach, there is practically no dialogue, and the cold and silent war dictates that only one of them should remain at the club for the season in 2025.

No atmosphere with the coaching staff and also with the squad , Gabriel Barbosa has been convinced to change and airs, but even the clubs that expressed interest in the first half of the year backed away. With a contract at Flamengo until the end of December, Gabigol had offers from Palmeiras, Corinthians and Santos, was mentioned at Grêmio, but did not want to sign a pre-contract with any team.

The expectation was to try to turn things around on top in the second half, otherwise he would end his time at Flamengo like the idol he became, without any fuss.

Tite's arrival last year changed the entire perspective of the striker, who was already in a bad phase previously, and lost his place once and for all to Pedro with the presence of the new coach. With the center forward's recent injury, Tite kept Gabigol at the end of the line, under the argument that Carlinhos and Bruno Henrique perform better in the scheme with a reference man .

Without understanding the criteria, Gabi maintains her dedication to the basic level of professionalism in training, as it is not part of the coach's or the club's plans for a possible renewal. With the chances of a comeback practically buried, the two possible paths are to wait for the election in Flamengo to find out if Tite will remain with the next president; or wait for the end of the contract to freely listen to proposals again. Palmeiras and Santos have not yet given up on the idea, and Bahia appears as an option, as it has good investment capacity.

In addition to Flamengo, Zé played in Brazilian football with the shirts of Palmeiras, Santos and Grêmio. In Europe, the former athlete defended giants such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The offer is R$130 million, which would be paid in installments. This amount would be invested on a specific basis in the football team and the club’s structure. The project is to take São Bento to the elite of São Paulo football and Brazilian Series B in up to six seasons.

The passage of Zé Roberto for Flamengo

Revelation from Portuguesa-SP, Zé Roberto stood out at Lusa and caught the attention of Real Madrid in 1997. However, the player had difficulty fitting into the Spanish club and was loaned to Flamengo in 1998.

Last Sunday (15), Flamengo and Vasco drew 1-1, at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. The result, although frustrating for the red and blacks, who dominated much of the match, kept them eight points behind leader Botafogo.

Mais Querido entered the field imposing his pace and controlling the actions for most of the game. The red-black goal was scored by Gerson, who has been standing out in recent matches. However, CRF conceded the draw in the final minutes, which prevented a more significant approach to the classification table.

STRATEGY FOR THE FINAL STRAIGHT OF THE BRASILEIRÃO

Even with the difference in points for Botafogo, the technical committee, led by Tite, devised a strategy focused on keeping the team competitive until the last rounds. According to information from the Coluna do Fla portal, the objective is to arrive "alive" in the fight for the title in the final five rounds. Matheus Bachi, assistant coach, believes that the recent good performance against Bahia and Vasco could be an indication that the team is on the right track to fight for the top again.

< p>DECISIVE CONFRONTATION IN THE LIBERTADORES

While trying to get closer to the leaders in the Brasileirão, Mengão is already preparing for the next challenge in the Libertadores. The team will face Peñarol, at Maracanã, in the quarterfinals of the continental tournament. The Rio team is looking for a good result at home before traveling to Uruguay for the second leg next week.
