The President of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim was on "Charla Podcast" this Monday (22) and answered some questions about Rubro-Negro. The agent stated that he was not responsible for bringing the debate about a possible SAF at the club. Journalist Renato Maurício Prado mocked the businessman's statement.

"It wasn't me who brought the SAF discussion into Flamengo, it was the presidents of the Board of Directors and the Deliberative Council, who scheduled two meetings preaching the advantages of SAF for the club. It was a call made by Bap (Luiz Eduardo Baptista) and (Antônio) Alcides", said Landim.

"(Laughter) Landim posts the SAF discussion in Flamengo on Bap's account! What a nerve! And he also says that if he becomes president of the Deliberative Council, it will be precisely to stop the SAF! Just laughing!" - wrote Renato Maurício Prado on social media.

In the conversation, Rodolfo Landim also spoke about the impasse in negotiating the renewal of Gabigol. According to the director, Rubro-Negro's proposal is in table and the decision is in the hands of the player. After giving Flamengo the victory in the last game, the striker stated that the board "did not act in a good way with an idol".

Flamengo drew 1-1 with Vasco last Sunday (15), in the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. Turning the key, Mais Querido is now focusing its attention on the next commitment of the season. For this reason, De La Cruz is experiencing decisive days before the game against Peñarol (URU), in the Libertadores.

De La Cruz suffered an injury to the back of his right thigh during the match against Bahia, in Salvador , in the first game of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. Since then, the Uruguayan midfielder was left out of the clashes against Corinthians, in the reunion with the Bahian team, and also against Vasco, on Sunday (15).

Now, De La Cruz is racing against time to be available for Flamengo in the game against Peñarol, scheduled for Thursday (19). The training sessions this Monday (16), Tuesday (17) and Wednesday (18) will be decisive in determining whether the Uruguayan will be on the list of players for the match.

CHANCE TO RETURN

At the press conference after the draw with Vasco, Tite spoke about the expectation of counting on De La Cruz for the duel against Peñarol. “I hope he can be there on Thursday (19) to reproduce today's performance (Sunday, 15), with greater effectiveness”, said the coach.

NEXT STEP

With the possibility of having De La Cruz back, Flamengo will face Peñarol next Thursday (19). At Maracanã, the teams will compete in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals. The clash is scheduled for 7pm (Brasília time). The date between Flamengo and Peñarol has already been set: the return game will take place on September 26th, at the Estadio Campeón del Siglo, in Uruguay, at 7pm (Brasília time).

Flamengo has been going through a delicate moment in the Brazilian Championship since mid-August. With the 1-1 draw against Vasco this Sunday (15), the red and black team confirmed the drop in performance in the competition, fell in the classification and accumulated negative statistics in this period.

Since August until this Sunday (15), Flamengo played six matches in the Brasileirão. During this period, Rubro-Negro won just one victory. Furthermore, there were three defeats and two draws, resulting in a success rate of just 28%. There are five points in the last 18 games played.

This period also highlights Flamengo's low offensive efficiency, which scored just six goals and conceded ten. With this negative sequence, Mengo fell from leadership to fourth place in the Brazilian Championship table. Currently, it is the fourth team that has scored the fewest points in the period, with just five.

FLAMENGO SITUATION

At the moment, Flamengo divides its attention between three competitions. In addition to the Brazilian Championship, the team led by Tite is in the quarterfinals of the Libertadores, where they face Peñarol (URU). In the Copa do Brasil, Rubro-Negro competes in the semi-final against Corinthians.

NEXT GAME

Now, Flamengo leaves the Brasileirão aside and focuses on the Libertadores. Mais Querido takes the field next Thursday (19), at 7pm (Brasília time), against Peñarol, at Maracanã. The match is valid for the first leg of the quarter-finals of the continental competition.

The game

The match had barely started and Flamengo opened the scoring after just two minutes. Isabela Nunes crossed into the area, Anna Luiza set it up for Ingrid to hit the goalkeeper: 1 to 0.

The red-black team continued to control possession of the ball and scored the second after seven minutes. Ana Papel caught the ball beautifully and hit the angle, with no chance for the goalkeeper: 2-0. Soon after, it was Maria Peck's turn to take a risk from distance and score the third goal of the match after just nine minutes.

The Meninas da Gávea didn't let up and expanded at 12'. Ingrid took advantage of the cross in the area to move the goalkeeper and score the fourth. Six minutes later, Mais Querido scored the fifth with Cecília, with a header: 5 to 0.

After the fifth goal, Cecília asked to leave and gave way to Gaby Bastos. Despite the large advantage on the scoreboard, Mengão went up in search of more. At 29', Ana Papel made a great move and passed the ball for her namesake Anna Luiza to cover: 6 to 0.

Serrano barely gave away the ball and the red-blacks scored the seventh of the match with another great goal from Anna Luiza from outside the area, also through coverage: 7 to 0.

To give final numbers to the first stage, Meninas da Gávea found the net four more times, with Alice, Ingrid (2 ) and Maria Peck. Rubro-Negro went into the break with an 11-0 lead. Highlight for striker Ingrid, who scored four times.

On the way back to the second half, Leane received the ball alone in the area and touched it low into the corner to make it 12-0. At 9', Anna Luiza entered the area alone and hit it into the goalkeeper's right corner: 13 to 0. It was shirt 10's hat-trick in the game.

As Meninas da Gávea didn't slow down and expanded in the 14th minute. Anna Luiza played the ball to Alice, who provided a beautiful light screen for Leane to reach with a cross: 14 to 0. Seven minutes later, Leane again entered the area alone and scored another hat-trick in the match: 15 to 0.

Right-winger Leane came into the match with everything and scored her fourth goal in the 37th minute. After taking off, she dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored the 16th goal. Then, Duda Detori further extends the advantage with a penalty kick: 17 to 0.
