Flamengo took the lead for a place in the quarter-finals of the Copa Brasil against Palmeiras. This is because they won the first leg at Maracanã, 2-0, where it could have been even more, due to the good red and black game and the pragmatic passivity of the Paulista team. Taking this hook, journalist Renato Maurício Prado blasted coach Abel Ferreira.
In his column on the UOL portal, Renato says that the 2x0 was cheap for Palmeiras and mentions coach Alviverde's attitude, as "cowardly ":

Rubro-negro dominated the entire game and had at least one. two more clear chances to expand, one with Luís Araújo, the other with Wesley. Both made wrong decisions: Araújo concluded, when he should have passed to Pedro, and the full-back crossed, when he could have shot.
Both difference goals, which force the São Paulo team to win by three more goals, to guarantee their place, or two, to take it to penalties, keeps the confrontation open, but it seems difficult to believe in the Palmeiras turnaround given the opposite moment that the teams are experiencing: Fla reached their fourth consecutive victory; Palmeiras to their fourth defeat in five games.
Abel's discouragement in the interview gave a good measure of the difficulty that the two-time Brazilian champions will face. It's not impossible. But that seems very unlikely, it seems. Atlas Intel survey included fans from different regions of the country

In the search “Pulso do Torcedor ” carried out by Atlas Intel, coach Tite, from Flamengo, as the second best coach among the clubs in Series A of the Brazilian Championship. Only Abel Ferreira, from Palmeiras, was ahead of the red and black team in the survey carried out by the analysis institute.
The responses pointed to the current two-time Brazilian champion Abel Ferreira as the favorite by 27.9%. Tite, from Flamengo, came in second place, cited by 18.6% of those interviewed. The top 3 still has Juan Pablo Vojvoda, who has been at Fortaleza for three years and in second place in the Brasileirão, with 9.1%. Completing the top-5 are Botafogo coach Artur Jorge, mentioned by 8.1%, and Fernando Seabra, from Cruzeiro, with 7.2%.
Tite was mentioned by 47.5% of fans of Flamengo as the best coach in Brazil - a much lower percentage than the Cruzeirenses' preference for Fernando Seabra (72.6% of Raposa fans voted for him) or Grêmio idol Renato Gaúcho, who was chosen by more than half of the fans from Grêmio (51.1%). The coach with the greatest approval from fans is Argentine Vojvoda, from Fortaleza, chosen by 96.3% of Leão do Pici fans.
