The victory over Palmeiras last Wednesday (8), left the Rubro Negro fan with hope once again, as Flamengo has a chance of becoming champion of the Brazilian Championship. Grêmio, Botafogo, Red Bull Bragantino and Alviverde themselves are also still alive in the fight. However, journalist Juca Kfouri surprised by mentioning São Paulo as an opponent for Mais Querido to worry about.

The team led by Dorival Júnior is in ninth place in the league table, four positions behind Flamengo. However, for Juca, the tricolor could be a "stone in the side" of Rubro Negro. For him, the former Mais Querido commander's thirst for "revenge" could frustrate the title.

“It seems to me that the most difficult game that Flamengo will face will be exactly the last one, against São Paulo . Because if Flamengo arrives at this game with a chance of being champions, it is the ideal dish for Dorival Júnior. Imagine him commanding São Paulo at Morumbi, certainly full, against a Flamengo team that could be champions. And he has the possibility of commanding his team and taking the title”, said Juca Kfouri.

However, for journalist Mauro Cezar Pereira, also a participant in the program "Posse de Bola", he disagrees with Juca. He says he remembers the final of the Copa do Brasil, and states that it will be a different scenario with coach Tite. It's worth remembering that Rubro Negro was tricolor's vice-president.

“But it's another reality, right?! It's Tite's Flamengo. It's not Sampaoli's Flamengo. Which includes that attack he launched at Maracanã, with Matheus Cunha in goal. There's no Sampaoli to help Dorival Júnior, that's another matter. Unless Flamengo gets there weakening and tripping over its own legs”, replied Mauro.

PATH TO THE POSSIBLE TITLE

Flamengo will have six more matches on the way. Rubro Negro enters the field this Saturday (11) to face Fluminense, in the 34th round of the Brasileirão. After the FIFA Data break, Mais Querido will face Red Bull Bragantino, in the 32nd round, as it had been postponed. The last clash will be against São Paulo, at Morumbi, on December 6th.

Check it out:
