In an initiative promoted by Budweiser, the tournament's official sponsor, the symbol of the most coveted achievement in club football landed in Rio de Janeiro accompanied by names that commanded respect in the defenses they played against. Among those selected for the mission were some big names. Lúcio, world champion with the national team in 2002, led the “defense” that also included Júnior Baiano — an idol of Flamengo and Palmeiras —, Marcão, ex-Fluminense player, and Joel Carli, an Argentine who made history at Botafogo. The action was revealed first-hand by CNN Brasil.
Budweiser's proposal was clear: to highlight the importance of the tournament's new format and to promote the trophy as an item of global desire. "This is the first edition of the championship in this format, with a trophy designed to make people's eyes shine and which has become one of the most beautiful and desired in the world," said Mariana Santos, the brand's marketing director in Brazil.
To symbolize this importance, the company opted for a metaphor: high-level security for something that is very valuable — hence the “line of defense” formed by historical defenders of national football. The action is part of the campaign created by the agency Africa Creative, which developed a series of promotional content focused on digital engagement. In addition to the official video, influencers and fans are being mobilized to promote the event on social media.
The highlight of the event will be this Sunday (4), at Aterro do Flamengo . The public will be able to see the trophy up close, participate in themed challenges and even play matches with the former captain of the Brazilian team, Lúcio. The event is free. One of the attractions is the flash challenge with Kelvin, a standout player in the Kings League Brazil. The finalists of the challenges held at the venue will be able to play a game of soccer with Lúcio himself and secure a photo with the defender and the trophy — a kind of “extra” trophy for the most competitive fans.
Budweiser has also launched a national promotion. Called “Bud Te Leva”, the campaign will reward consumers with trips to the United States to watch the Club World Cup final up close. To participate, consumers must purchase products from the brand and register the receipt on the official website.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper saves two shots in the final against Barcelona, renews his contract until 2029 and establishes himself as a jewel of the red-black youth team.

The victory against Barcelona, achieved on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time, had as its hero goalkeeper Léo Nannetti, just 18 years old.
The match was marked by twists and turns. Flamengo opened the scoring, but suffered a comeback from the Spanish side. In stoppage time, they tied the match in a dramatic move, sending the match to penalties. It was at this point that Nannetti shone, saving two decisive penalties that secured the victory.
During regulation time, Nannetti had already distinguished himself with key saves that prevented Barcelona from extending their lead . In the penalty shootout, he showed composure and reflexes, saving two shots, sealing the 6-5 victory for the red-and-blacks.

Vitória is preparing for a challenging clash in the 21st round of the Brazilian Championship. The Bahian team faces Flamengo this Monday (25), at 9 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. Despite the two teams' different moments in the table, striker Osvaldo showed confidence in seeking a good result in Rio de Janeiro.
"We're going to Maracanã and trying to play a great game. We haven't lost at Maracanã in a few games, so I think we can build on that to put in a great performance. Flamengo is a tough opponent; they're the best team in our football world , and they've been achieving great results," the striker declared, before adding:
"But on the field, it's 11 against 11, especially against Vitória, who have a history of playing great games and surprising in several matches. I think we have what it takes to get there and get a great result . We know how difficult the game will be," Osvaldo concluded.
Flamengo takes the field to defend its sole lead in the Brasileirão , with 43 points. Filipe Luís's team is enjoying an excellent run of form , having gone six games unbeaten in the competition.
In addition to a solid run in the national championship, the Rio de Janeiro team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores last week by eliminating Internacional. Prior to that, they had already beaten the same opponent 3-1 at Beira-Rio, cementing their good run.
