On Monday night (29), Rodolfo Landim, president of Flamengo, gave a speech celebrating the approval of the club's Deliberative Council to participate in the auction of the Gasologista land, located in the port area of Rio de Janeiro. The meeting, held at the headquarters of Gávea, South Zone of Rio, had 602 votes in favor, 33 against and four abstentions, marking another step towards the construction of the new red-black stadium.

The board of directors do Flamengo expects to confirm ownership of the land next Wednesday (31), when the auction will take place at 2:30 pm (Brasília time). The minimum bid for acquiring the land is R$138,195,000.00, as established by the Official Gazette of Rio de Janeiro. Rio City Hall will broadcast the event online.

RODOLFO LANDIM'S SPEECH

During the speech, Rodolfo Landim thanked the fans for their support and expressed his satisfaction with the approval of the Deliberative Council. “Thank you for your vigil and your support. This stadium we are building belongs to all of us, all red and black people. We will finally have our house, our dream will be fulfilled. I already leave the invitation to all of you in advance. When we buy this land and take possession of it, I will invite all the fans to come with me and we will take possession of it together. Let’s plant the Mengão flag”, said Landim in front of members of the club’s organized supporters.

QUOTE TO GABIGOL AND THE FUTURE STADIUM

Landim mentioned Gabigol, one of the idols of Flamengo's current winning generation, highlighting the importance of the new stadium for fans. “I said that this stadium in the background is for the fans. Flamengo does this to improve the quality of service for our fans. We'll finally have our own house if we manage to structure it. I am very convinced that it is possible. And in a way the fans want: a much more cauldron arena. It will be how the fans want it. As Gabigol says, let's turn it into our hell there. We are going to have our hell in our games there”, he added.

PROFITABILITY AND PROJECT STRUCTURE

The president also highlighted the profitability and viability of the new stadium project in comparison to Maracanã. “It is very important to say that the operation of this stadium will be much more profitable than that of Maracanã, be it the availability of more seats that we will have, or the fact that it is designed within the reality of Brazilian football and not the World Cup. A sum of things that will allow Flamengo to structure all these investments as if it were an independent project without affecting sporting performance in football”, added Landim.

The protests by Flamengo fans, who demand the immediate departure of coach Tite, including graffiti on the walls of the club's headquarters Gávea, should not cause drastic changes in team command. According to information released by the portal O Globo, the club's management has already indicated that it does not intend to fire the coach, even if Mengão is eliminated from the Libertadores in the game against Peñarol, in Uruguay.

TITE CONTINUES IN POSITION UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON

Despite criticism and pressure from fans, Tite and his coaching staff continue to lead Mais Querido until the end of 2024, with a contract in force until December. The current administration shows no interest in renewing the relationship with the coach, but intends to keep him in the position until the end of the competitions that the team still competes in.

If elimination in the Libertadores is confirmed, the Rio club They still have the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil to look forward to, where they will face Corinthians in October. In the Brasileirão, the CRF's situation became more complicated, with the title increasingly distant.

PROTESTS INTENSIFY AGAINST TITE, BUT BOARD STAYS ILESA

Although the protests are focused on the coach's departure, the club's board, curiously, has not been the target of the demonstrations. Before the match against Grêmio, some members of organized supporters even visited the CT to provide support to the players, without directly mentioning the technical command or the board.

With just a few days to go before the second leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals, Peñarol used its social networks this Monday (23) to issue an important statement to its fans. The Uruguayan team warned that any gesture of a racist nature during the game against Flamengo, at the Campeón del Siglo stadium, will be severely punished.

SEVERE MEASURES AGAINST RACISM AT CAMPEÓN DEL SIGLO

In the official statement, Peñarol stated that it will expel from its membership any fan who is identified as committing racist acts during the match. Furthermore, the offender will be added to a "black list" of problematic fans, which will prevent them from entering future sporting events.

The club highlighted the importance of respect in football and reinforced that it seeks an environment of coexistence and integration between everyone involved in the sport. "It depends on everyone that this is the case", concludes the statement.

CHECK PEÑAROL'S OFFICIAL NOTE

"Peñarol informs that any person who is identified at the Campeón del Siglo making any racist gesture towards fans or athletes of the rival team will be immediately expelled from all the Club's social records and will be sent permanently to the black list, so that they cannot return to participate in a sporting event. At Peñarol, we believe in football as a factor of coexistence based on respect and integration."

RECENT CASE OF RACISM AGAINST MENGÃO PLAYER

Peñarol's warning comes a few days after CRF striker Carlinhos reported having been the target of racist gestures during the game against Grêmio, in Porto Alegre, last Sunday (22). The player stated that he heard monkey imitations as he left the field after being sent off.

This last Friday (20), the Rio Court suspended the process contesting the expropriation and auction of the Gasometer land. The site, purchased by Flamengo, is part of the project for the construction of Mais Querido's own stadium.

According to information from the "Tempo Real" portal, the suspension of the dispute was 90 days, that is, for three months. The Court took a stance against the process after a request from Mais Querido, Rio City Hall, the Attorney General's Office (AGU) and Caixa Econômica Federal.

This is because the objective is to mediate the solution of the conflict between Caixa Econômica Federal and Mais Querido. This is because Flamengo paid around R$ 146 million to buy the land from Gasologista at an auction held by Rio City Hall. However, Caixa understands that the site is valued at R$ 240 million.

< b>PRESIDENT OF FLAMENGO MET WITH THE GENERAL ATTORNEY

The mediation process is carried out by the Mediation and Conciliation Chamber of the Federal Public Administration (CCAF) of the AGU. In recent days, Rubro-Negro's representative, Rodolfo Landim, met with the Federal Attorney General's Office to discuss the matter.

FLAMENGO DISCARDS CONCERNS

According to Flamengo himself, the obstacle will be resolved soon. In other words, the construction of the Mais Querido stadium remains in planning. In Landim's words, the expectation is that Rubro-Negro's new home will be ready in 2029.
