Landim preferred not to commit to a definitive answer
|
0In an interview with the podcast "Mundo GV", the president of Flamengo's Rodolfo Landim was asked about the possibility of Michael, currently a player for Al Hilal, replacing Everton Cebolinha, who suffered a serious injury to the Achilles tendon in his left ankle and is out of action for the remainder of 2024. Landim did not respond directly, but also did not rule out the chance of a negotiation.
The statement suggests that the club is evaluating its options to deal with Cebolinha's absence, maintaining the possibility of bringing back Michael, who already had a spell at Flamengo and left a good impression. The situation of Cebolinha, who is expected to be away for a long period, makes the search for a replacement even more urgent.
Landim preferred not to commit to a definitive answer, which may indicate that the Flamengo is considering other options besides Michael or that negotiations are still at an early stage. The president's caution reflects the complexity of negotiations involving players from clubs abroad, especially when it comes to an athlete who is already linked to a big team like Al Hilal.
The final decision on signing A replacement for Everton Cebolinha will be crucial for Flamengo, who need to maintain their competitive level in a tight calendar full of challenges. Whether or not Michael will be chosen for this mission is still unknown, but the possibility is open, as Rodolfo Landim implied in his recent interview.
