The Flamengo continues to face difficulties in securing the signing of midfielder Marcos Antônio. This is because Lazio (ITA) does not give up on the immediate sale and delays negotiations with Mais Querido.

According to information from GE, since the beginning of the conversations, Mais Querido and the Italian club disagreed over the templates of the negotiation involving Marcos Antônio. This is because the Italian team is pushing for the immediate sale of the athlete and Rubro-Negro is not giving up on a loan with an obligation to purchase.

MARCOS ANTÔNIO WAITS FOR A POSITIVE OUTCOME

Thus, while Mais Querido does not enter into an agreement with the Italian club, Marcos Antônio, who is spending his holidays in Bahia, remains free to train in Brazil. The athlete hopes for a positive outcome in the negotiations.

The Lazio squad has already re-introduced itself after the holidays and is doing pre-season training in Pataca Auronzo di Cadore, in Italy. However, Marcos Antônio carries out work on his own, accompanied by a personal trainer.

RIVALS IN THE FIGHT

With the transfer window open just a few days ago, Flamengo and Lazio are in no rush to the outcome of the negotiations. However, two rivals of Mais Querido entered the fight for the midfielder: Botafogo and São Paulo. However, the teams offered the same contract formats as Rubro-Negro.

After the end of the 27th round, where Flamengo was defeated by Grêmio by a score of 3 to 2, commentator and narrator Galvão Bueno made a publication on his social networks warning about Mais Querido's situation in the table. The narrator mentioned that Rubro-Negro is getting further and further away from the Brasileirão title.

“No change in the top six placed in the Brasileirão, but it was a great round for Botafogo, Palmeiras and Fortaleza, who won their games and continue in the fight for the title. Flamengo, São Paulo and Bahia lost and are getting further and further away from leader Botafogo”, he pondered on his Instagram.

Botafogo took the lead, with 56 points, while Palmeiras is second, with 53, accompanied by. close to Fortaleza, which has 52. In fourth place comes Flamengo, with just 45 points won. São Paulo and Bahia appear next to Rubro-Negro, with 44 and 42 respectively.

FEJUM DE BRASILEIRÃO TITLE

It's worth remembering that the last time Flamengo won the Brasileirão was in the 2020 season. In other words, four years ago, Mais Querido lifted the competition's trophy. Here, Rubro-Negro has had difficulty establishing itself as a force.
