Dimba marked an era in Brazilian football with his skill as a center forward and eye for goal. Recognized mainly for his spells at Goiás and Flamengo, he shone brightly in the early 2000s, winning goalscoring scores and titles. With a career that took him to national and international clubs, Dimba ended his career on the pitch, but his name is still remembered by fans and football admirers. Lance! tell you where Dimba is.
Dimba's career in football
Dimba began his career at modest Sobradinho, in 1994, before moving to Brasília the following year. His ability as a goalscorer began to attract attention, and he had a run at clubs such as Gama and Botafogo, but it was at Goiás, in 2003, that he experienced the peak of his career.
For Goiás, Dimba was the top scorer in the 2003 Brazilian Championship, scoring an impressive 31 goals in the competition. His performance put him on the radar of big clubs and took him to Al Ittihad, in Saudi Arabia, in 2004.
After a short spell abroad, Dimba returned to Brazil to play for Flamengo. Despite not having repeated the same success as his times in Goiás, he contributed in important moments for the Rio team. Throughout his career, Dimba wore the shirts of several other clubs, including São Caetano, Brasiliense, Ceilândia and Legião, before ending his football career in 2015, at Sobradinho, the club where he began his career.

The peak and decline
The period in Goiás represented the peak of Dimba's career. In 2003, he not only stood out as a top scorer, but was also instrumental for the team, which earned him national recognition. However, his time at Flamengo did not bring the same shine, and opportunities at big clubs began to become scarce.
As the years went by, Dimba found space in smaller clubs, where he continued to do what he did best: score goals. In 2015, he decided to end his career as a player at Sobradinho, closing the cycle where it all began.
Where is Dimba?
After his retirement, Dimba turned to social and business projects, using his football experience to inspire young people. He began working as a coach in youth teams, helping to develop new talents and share the lessons learned during his career.
Dimba was also involved in community-oriented initiatives in the Federal District, promoting sporting events and charitable actions. Despite no longer being in the spotlight, he remains a beloved figure remembered for his charismatic personality and contribution to Brazilian football.
Dimba remains active in his social circle and participates in commemorative matches, where he demonstrates that his talent and passion for football are still alive.

Flamengo received, this Friday (1st), another millionaire amount related to the sale of right-back Matheuzinho. Corinthians paid around R$ 14 million to Rubro-Negro , paying off the remaining amount of the negotiation made in February of this year.
At the time, the Rio de Janeiro club sold the player for R$21.48 million, but Corinthians delayed the third installment of the agreement. As a result, Flamengo demanded immediate payment of the entire outstanding amount . The information was initially reported by the portal Meu Timão.
To facilitate the payment, Corinthians signed an agreement with Brax, the company responsible for marketing advertising signs for both clubs. The company acted as guarantor for the deal and transferred the funds to Flamengo .
By August, Corinthians had already paid R$8 million directly to the Rio de Janeiro club. It then transferred R$7.58 million to Brax , which topped up the amount with another R$6 million , fully settling the debt with the club.
While the board celebrates receiving the amount, Flamengo remains focused on the field. The team led by Filipe Luís returns to play this Sunday (3), against Ceará, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Arena Castelão, for the 18th round of the Brasileirão. The match will be broadcast live on Premiere, on pay-per-view.

Flamengo has already made four signings official this transfer window , but the delay in negotiations has drawn criticism from some fans . During striker Samuel Lino's presentation, football director José Boto spoke out on the matter and apologized to the Flamengo Nation.
“Sometimes things take a little longer than the fans want, and I apologize to the fans, but we ( Flamengo 's board) have fixed ideas, and as long as it's possible to have the players we want , we'll go after it,” explained Boto.
Brazilian football's second transfer window opened on July 10th, and Flamengo began the period cautiously, monitoring the market and evaluating options. As the weeks progressed, the board accelerated negotiations and secured four key signings : Saúl Ñíguez, Emerson Royal, Samuel Lino, and Jorge Carrascal.
Despite the names already confirmed, Flamengo remains attentive to the market. The club is in ongoing negotiations with Fiorentina, Italy, to sign striker Lucas Beltrán . Flamengo has already agreed on a fee with the Italian club, but still needs to convince the Argentine player to return to South America.
While the board works behind the scenes, the squad led by Filipe Luís focuses on the challenges on the field. Flamengo's next match is this Sunday (3), against Ceará , at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Castelão, for the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship.
