0In terms of GE, in the fifth year of implementation in the Brasileirão, VAR continues to be a widely discussed topic in the competition. The Espião Estatístico team carried out a comprehensive survey of all situations in which decisions on the field were modified after the intervention of the video referee, with the aim of analyzing the impact of this technology on the tournament. When investigating the repercussions of VAR in the Brasileirão, Espião Estatístico provides, below, a list of all the decision changes that were assisted by the video, highlighting the teams that were most and least affected by this technology in the tournament. p>
You can simply click on a team name in the rankings to watch videos of all the plays, which include penalties scored, goals disallowed, red cards shown and other similar plays. It is important to note that our team does not make judgments about the referee's correctness or error after consulting the VAR, therefore we avoid using terms such as "benefit" or "harm" when referring to clubs.
In addition , this page will be updated after each round of the Brasileirão, to keep the data always accurate. An additional observation is that, in the case of decision changes in which there was an error in identifying the perpetrator of the infraction, which resulted in the application of a card, it is not possible to determine a "favored" or "disadvantaged" team. Here are the teams with the highest number of favorable decision changes through VAR in the Brasileirão:
Grêmio (9 favorable decision changes)Bahia (9 favorable decision changes)These numbers reflect the impact of VAR on different Brasileirão teams, indicating that some clubs obtained more benefits in terms of video referee decision changes than others. It is important to highlight that, as previously mentioned, these decision changes do not necessarily imply an error on the part of the referee, but rather demonstrate how technology has influenced the course of matches.
As the season progresses, It is interesting to follow how VAR continues to play a significant role in the Brasileirão, affecting results and decisions on the field. The Espião Estatístico team will continue to monitor and update this data after each round, providing a more complete view of the impact of VAR on the championship and the teams involved.
