Flamengo entered the transfer market heavily to reinforce the Under-20s. Not surprisingly, Mais Querido agreed to sign midfielder Adriano Nicolas, Allianza Lima, from Peru. The athlete arrives at Rubro-Negro on loan, with a contract until the end of this year.

According to the 'FlaBase' portal, Flamengo analyzed some athletes to reinforce the Under-20, as many players left the team after the Cup. Thus, Adriano Nicolas was chosen by the red-black board. Mais Querido even asked for a clause with a purchase option, if he wants to sign the young man permanently.

In terms of professionalism, Flamengo has signed two players so far. They are: De La Cruz and Matías Viña. The midfielder has already made his debut with Mais Querido, but the full-back has not yet been introduced. Rubro-Negro expects to hold a press conference for the athlete this week, after the defender returns to Brazil.

Nigerian striker Elija Shola renewed his residence visa, guaranteeing his stay in Brazil for another five years. The renewal of the permission was requested by Flamengo to the Federal Government. Furthermore, the player signed a new contract with the club, which is now valid until the end of 2027.

Although Shola has not yet debuted for Flamengo's professional team, he was listed for the classic against Flamengo. Botafogo, which ended with a 4-1 defeat at the Nilton Santos stadium. The striker was one of the highlights of Flamengo's under-20 team, which won the Libertadores and Intercontinental in the category.

Last month, Flamengo reached an agreement with Remo Stars, Shola's former club , purchasing 70% of the athlete's economic rights for 450 thousand dollars. The 19-year-old Nigerian has been on loan at Flamengo since April 2023. His last residence visa was valid for six months and expired in September 2024.

Shola was first scouted during the Viareggio Cup 2022, traditional grassroots tournament held in the Tuscany region, in Italy. He stood out as one of the main figures of his team, helping them reach the final of the tournament. Following this observation, Flamengo sent a scout to Nigeria to evaluate him again, confirming his signing shortly afterwards.

Midfielder Adriano Nicolas has already signed his contract with Flamengo. Born in Peru, the player arrives to reinforce Mengão's under-20 category. According to journalist Guilherme ‘FlaZoeiro’, Nicolas’ name will be included in the IDB in the next few hours. Adriano arrives at Fla on a one-year loan. The value of the purchase option with Allianza Lima-PER is R$1 million for 70% of the economic rights.

In the under-20s, Adriano Nicolas will have competition in the Lorran jewelry sector. Mengão's promise has been highlighted since the under-17s, he has even scored in the professionals and has the trust of the entire board present on a daily basis at Ninho do Urubu. With the title goal in the under-20 Libertadores final, Lorran began to be integrated by Tite into the professional squad, but still belongs to the under-20s.

The last Peruvian player who played for Flamengo's professionals was left-back Miguel Trauco. The defender arrived at Gávea in 2017, when the squad already had Paolo Guerrero, but remained until 2019, when the center forward had already left Ninho do Urubu. In other words, four years later, Adriano Nicolas's time has come.

If he overcomes the high competition from young people who won the Libertadores and reaches the top team, Adriano Nicolas will move up to keep company with other foreigners in midfield: Erick Pulgar, Nicolás de la Cruz and Arrascaeta. In the sector, Flamengo even thought about bringing in the Argentine Di María, but the star's intentions of not wanting to play in Brazil ruined the deal.
