The coach of Mais Querido held a press conference after the draw in Fla x Flu
|
0After the draw with Fluminense on Saturday night (11), coach Tite held a press conference at Maracanã and spoke about the difficulties the team faced. It is worth remembering that the Flamengo squad has had a lot of needs in some positions, which means that the coach cannot change the team as much.
Asked if he had already seen these shortcomings in the squad to be remedied in 2024, Tite replied that the next year could only be planned based on the reality of 2023. Therefore, he will only be able to know for sure who the board should hire at the end of the season.
"Next year can only be planned based on reality 2023. The games, the training, we will always be following and in the end I promise you that I can give you an answer about this", said Tite at the press conference after the draw in Fla x Flu.
SURVEYS AND TRANSFER WINDOWFlamengo's board has already started moving and preparing for the next transfer window. Rubro Negro has already started to survey some athletes, however, it will wait for the end of the season to be able to analyze whether it will make any proposals. Full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus (ITA) and Uruguayan midfielder Nicolas De La Cruz from River Plate (ARG) are some of the athletes that interest the board.
Therefore, it is likely that they will be the first to receive an offer from Mais Querido in the next transfer window. There are still many needs in the squad, however, coach Tite will have complete autonomy to reformulate the team and put together a competitive team for next season.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0After taking charge of Flamengo, Tite, former coach of the Brazilian national team, made it clear that he is quickly adapting to the club's culture. In recent statements, he highlighted Rubro-Negro's striking characteristic: the incessant search for all possible titles. According to the coach, this spirit of intense competition is something that he not only admires, but is also incorporating into his own work philosophy.
Tite, known for his meticulous and results-focused work, revealed that the Transition to Flamengo involves constant learning, especially in relation to the club's winning mentality. "Flamengo has this culture of fighting for every title. There is no focus on just one competition, the goal is to win everything within reach", he explained.
This characteristic is notable in Flamengoin recent years, which has won several important competitions, such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores. Tite, accustomed to pressure and the need for results, states that this mentality is something he is adopting in his day-to-day life at the club. “I see this culture, and this is what we are doing. Flamengo has this requirement, and I am a coach who likes this type of challenge.”
Although Tite has an established career, with successful spells at clubs such as Corinthians and the Brazilian national team, Flamengo represents a new experience for the coach. He is now at the helm of a team that has traditionally had fans calling for victories in every competition they compete in, something he sees as a positive challenge.
"You have to learn every day Even with the experience I have, here I realize that there are very high expectations, but at the same time that's what makes you grow", commented the coach. For him, working at a club that maintains such a high level of demand motivates him to always seek the best.
