Flamengo's vice president of football addresses controversy in interview
|
0In a recent interview with the Mundo GV podcast, the football vice-president of Flamengo, Marcos Braz, addressed several controversial issues involving the match against Atlético-GO, highlighting the situation on the pitch at the Serra Dourada Stadium and refuting the accusations made by the president of the club from Goiás.
Braz started the conversation by commenting on the condition of the pitch on which the match took place. According to him, there was a technical inspection carried out by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), which concluded that the game could be held on that field. This assessment, according to the vice-president, was considered sufficient to guarantee the safety of the athletes and the viability of the match. BRAZ DETONATES ACCUSATIONS MADE TO FLAMENGO
The accusations made by the president of Atlético-GO were treated seriously by Braz, who considered them serious and requiring concrete evidence. The red-and-black director highlighted some moments from the game to refute the allegations made by the Goiás club's manager. He specifically cited an incident involving the player Bruno Henrique, where he pointed out that there was physical contact that resulted in injuries, highlighting that similar situations resulted in expulsions in international competitions.
Marcos Braz expressed his concern regarding the possible repercussions of the accusations made by the president of Atlético-GO, fearing that Flamengo will be harmed in the future due to possible pressure from arbitration. He highlighted that, despite what was stated by the opposing leader, there were no benefits for Flamengo during the game in question, classifying the match as "strange".
Flamengo's vice-president of football concluded his participation on the podcast reiterating his respect for Atlético-GO's position, however, vehemently disagreeing with the accusations made against his club. Marcos Braz reinforced the importance of impartiality and rigorous investigation of any complaints made in the sporting field, highlighting the need to guarantee integrity and transparency in all competitions.
