After intense negotiations, Flamengo and Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, reached an agreement to renew the player's contract for another three years. The information was first released by journalist Débora Figueiredo, from the website “Meu Fla”, and later confirmed by the RTI Esporte Agency.
The negotiations, which lasted for days, finally reached a positive outcome for both parties. According to sources linked to the football department of Flamengo, the club's offer was accepted by Gabigol's staff, demonstrating the mutual desire to continue this partnership.
However, despite the imminent renewal, the red-black board remains cautious until the new contract is signed. This is due to the expectation of a judgment with a suspensive effect at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as the player is suspended until April 2025.
