A ' Chapa Mengão Maior', headed by Flamengo presidential candidate Maurício Gomes de Mattos, was officially launched this Thursday (05). The meeting was attended by former red-black representatives Márcio Braga and Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, who will support MGM. The ceremony took place at the AABB headquarters, in Lagoa, in Rio de Janeiro.
In an interview with the portal "Coluna do Fla", Maurício Gomes de Mattos revealed some plans if he is elected president of Flamengo. MGM wants the club to be more transparent and even bigger. In addition, the candidate explained what sets him apart from other competitors.
— In our management, all vice-presidents will be as if it were a board of directors. They will create goals and make demands. There will be no interference from areas of other club professionals. I will also create the Advisory Council, where we will receive opinions and suggestions from various partners. I also want a council with notables, to create the Flamengo of the future. Prepare for the present, valuing our past and looking to the future. It will be management with transparency, I will create the Transparency Portal. Everything for Flamengo, nothing from Flamengo — said Maurício.
— I expect even greater growth for Flamengo. I will win this election, for sure. I have a red-black spirit, I know the house. It's been 22 years knowing the associations, federations, respecting and being respected. I will be the firm leader of Flamengo in all bodies, I will be the president of the Nation. I want a comprehensive fan partner program, I want Flamengo even bigger — added MGM.
Other Candidates
Currently, six Flamengo members have announced their pre-candidacy . In addition to Maurício Gomes de Mattos, the following intend to contest the election: Rodrigo Dunshee (supported by Rodolfo Landim), Luiz Eduardo Baptista (BAP), Wallim Vasconcellos, Pedro Paulo and José Carlos Peruano.
