The world of football lives through a routine of exciting news, whether on or off the field, and this time, Atlético Paranaense had to face discouraging news. Defender Léo Pereira, a fundamental member of the team, suffered an injury that will keep him sidelined for a considerable period. According to the club's physiotherapist, Dr. William Schettini, the player is expected to be out of action for at least 40 days, which means he would only return next season.

The term "injury" is frequent in world of sport, but circumstances are not always the same. In this case, Léo Pereira's injury is classified as afracture. In an investigation by Mundo Rubro-Negro, Dr. Schettini clarifies that, in orthopedics, it is not common to use the term "fissure"; instead, they diagnose a "fracture" when the bone remains in its original position. In the case of Léo Pereira, the fracture occurred in the left seventh costal arch, due to trauma. Fortunately, the good news is that the injury is not considered serious.

Recovering from a rib fracture is a process that requires time and specific care. The estimate of 40 days for fracture consolidation is based on full follow-up of the athlete. This recovery involves not only rest, but also physiotherapy, to ensure that the player returns to the field in full physical condition. In the world of football, where competition is fierce and injuries can have a significant impact on teams, the news of Léo Pereira's absence for 40 days represents a challenge for Atlético Paranaense.

The player has been a key player in the team's defense and his absence will be felt. However, the priority now is his complete recovery so that he can return to the field at full strength. Coach Tite, together with the medical and physiotherapy team, now needs to plan for Léo Pereira's absence and adjust the team's strategy for the next matches. Replacing a player of his quality is not a simple task, but it is the reality of the sport, where injuries are part of the game.

In short, Léo Pereira will face a recovery period of at least 40 days due to a fracture in the left seventh costal arch. The defender is a fundamental piece for Atlético Paranaense, and his absence will be a challenge for the team. However, the injury is not considered serious, and the medical team is committed to his recovery. Fans eagerly await the player's return, as the club prepares to face the season without him.
