Midfielder Claudinho is back on the radar of Flamengo, who plans to sign him in this transfer window. Wanting to have the player, Mais Querido has already sent an official proposal to Zenit (RUS). However, before confirmation from the Russian team, a family member of the player already guarantees an agreement with Rubro-Negro.

According to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, a close relative of Claudinho stated that, between the midfielder and Mais Querido, everything is already settled. Now, only Zenit and Flamengo reach an agreement.

FLAMENGO PROPOSAL SENT TO ZENIT

O Rubro-Negro sent a proposal to Zenit and Claudinho's businesspeople worth over 15 million euros (R$88 million). However, the Russian team defined that the value of the midfielder's sale will be 20 million euros (R$ 118 million).

FLAMENGO LOOKS FOR OTHER REINFORCEMENTS

In addition to Claudinho, the Mais Querido is also preparing to make new proposals to other athletes, such as Lucas Paquetá. West Ham made it clear that they will only release the midfielder through sale and Rubro-Negro is preparing a proposal for the English club.

Marcos Antônio, Lazio midfielder, has agreed with Mais Querido. According to an Italian portal, Flamengo has already reached an agreement with the Italian team and, soon, the player will be announced as a new red-and-black reinforcement.

Flamengo's victory over Atlético-MG in the Brazilian Cup , won at Arena MRV, brought a significant financial impact for the club, with a total prize pool of R$93.5 million. With this achievement, the Rio club, which already has the highest revenue in national football, further strengthened its finances.

The expert César Grafietti, in his column on the Financial Intelligence portal, he analyzed the effect of this value on Flamengo's revenue and pointed out an estimated impact of 7%considering half the value of the prize, given that 50% was distributed between players and the coaching staff.

Grafietti also included the box office value of the semifinal and final phases, estimated at R$22 million, adding R$67 million to the calculation to reach this impact. In the scenario of a gross value of 100% of the prize pool plus box office, the impact would rise to 11% on the club's recurring revenue.

In addition to the immediate gains, winning the Copa do Brasil also guaranteed Flamengo direct place in the group stage of the Libertadores 2025, a benefit that, in itself, represents potential revenue of up to R$24 million(around US$3.99 million), considering the bonus of US$330 thousand for a home win, in addition to box office values.

Goals Exceeded in Awards

In 2024, Flamengo set a goal of collecting R$113 million in prizes, but, with the Copa do Brazil, has already reached R$128.3 million, exceeding the objective by more than R$15 million. This achievement helps to compensate for the club's premature exit from the Libertadores following its elimination in the quarter-finals against Peñarol, which brought R$34.8 million in prizes during the tournament, considering classifications and victories in the qualifying phase. groups.

The draw for groups for the new 2025 Club World Cup, which will take place on December 5< /a>, you should count on Flamengoamong the seeded teams, along with other major South American clubs. According to discussions at FIFA and information from journalist Rodrigo Mattos, the draw model will give space to representatives from South America in pot 1, a measure that should benefit clubs such as Mengão, Palmeiras and River Plate, allowing the division of groups with European teams ranked from 5th place onwards, such as Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.

Conmebol asked FIFA to guarantee the Libertadores champions between the top seeds of the eight groups. However, the final criteria seems to prioritize the best positioned in the Conmebol ranking. This means that, in addition to Flamengo, Palmeiras and River Plate, the final place in pot 1 will be played between Atlético-MG, third in the ranking, if they win the Libertadores, or Fluminense, current champion of the competition, if Botafogo becomes champion.

In European pot 1, FIFA included Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG. As a result, the South Americans will have lower-ranked European teams in their groups, such as Inter Milan and Porto, which could theoretically make it easier to compete for ranking positions.

The World Cup, which will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025, will have a total of 32 teams, divided into eight groups of four. The top two in each group advance to the knockout stages. The direct confrontation will be the main tiebreaker criterion, followed by balance and number of goals scored.

Clubs Confirmed for the 2025 Club World Cup:

UEFA (12 spots): Including Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Inter Milan, Juventus, Porto, Benfica, Atlético de Madrid and RB Salzburg.

Conmebol (6 places): Flamengo, Palmeiras, Fluminense, River Plate, Boca Juniors and the 2024 Libertadores champion between Atlético-MG or Botafogo.

Concacaf (5 places): Monterrey, Seattle Sounders, León, Pachuca and Inter Miami (representing the host country).

AFC (4 places): Al-Hilal, Urawa Red Diamonds, Al Ain and Ulsan.

CAF (4 places): Al Ahly, Wydad Casablanca, Mamelodi Sundowns and Espérance.

OFC (1 place): Auckland City.

Expectations are high for FIFA's official announcement about the value of prizes and other structural details of the tournament, which promises to be a milestone in the Club World Cup format.
