Michael has arrived! Flamengo's new striker signed a contract until December 31, 2028 and is already preparing to debut with Manto Sagrado this season. Furthermore, Rubro-Negro announced the left winger's number for the remainder of the season: 30.

With a defined number and signed contract, Michael can now debut for Flamengo on Sunday (25). This is because the attacker's name appeared in the CBF's Daily Newsletter (BID) this Thursday (22). In other words, the athlete is regularized and can enter the field with the Sacred Mantle.

It is worth noting that Michael is Flamengo's first signing in the current transfer window. The striker terminated his contract with Al Hilal (SAU) after the Saudi Arabian Super Cup so that Neymar could be registered in the country's national championship. Thus, Rubro-Negro took advantage of the opportunity and signed the athlete.

CAN MICHAEL PLAY FOR LIBERTADORES?

It is important to remember that Michael cannot play the round of 16 of the Libertadores da América. This is because Flamengo did not register the player for the round of 16 of the competition and, therefore, the new number 30 can only play in the tournament if Rubro-Negro advance to the quarterfinals.

BOLÍVAR X FLAMENGO< /b>

The return game between Flamengo and Bolívar (BOL) takes place this Thursday (22), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in La Paz, Bolivia. Rubro-Negro could lose by up to one goal to advance to the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.

The Flamengofaces significant challenges in trying to build its new stadium in the Gasmetro region of Rio de Janeiro. The land designated for the work houses a large infrastructure belonging to Naturgy, a multinational company responsible for distributing piped gas in the state. The removal of these facilities could generate costs estimated at around R$100 million, an amount that will have to be borne by the CRF. The information is from the O Globo portal.

At the end of August, Naturgy informed the Energy and Basic Sanitation Regulatory Agency of the State of Rio (Agenersa) about the impasse involving the land. The area located at Avenida São Cristóvão, nº 1,200, includes warehouses, laboratories and a Regulation and Measurement Station, essential for the supply of gas to the North, South and Center zones of Rio de Janeiro, serving approximately 400 thousand consumers.

Agenersa requested that the concessionaire present, by mid-September, detailed reports on the costs and time required to relocate these structures. It is estimated that complete removal will require an additional investment of R$ 100 million.

NEGOTIATIONS WITH CITY HALL AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Naturgy representatives have held informal conversations with City Hall from Rio to clarify the situation. During these dialogues, it became clear that the club will be responsible for the expenses related to the removal of the facilities. One of the annexes to the land purchase and sale contract stipulates that Flamengo must bear the extra costs, although the document does not determine a maximum value.

RISKS INVOLVED IN STRUCTURE REMOVAL

In addition to the high cost, the removal of gas installations presents significant risks. The concessionaire warned of the possibility of accidents and gas shortages in large areas of the city, such as Greater Tijuca and the South Zone, if the operation is not carried out correctly. The gas pipeline that passes through the site operates at high pressure, which makes the operation delicate and risky both for the continuity of the service and for the safety of workers.

Former player Adriano, known as Imperador, officially announced that he will say goodbye to the pitch on December 15th, in a special friendly match at Maracanã. The match will be attended by former teammates from two of the most notable clubs of his career: Flamengo and Inter Milan. At 42 years old, Adriano will wear both shirts, playing time for each team.

< In an interview, Adriano commented on the importance of this moment for him and his fans. "A lot of people asked me to say goodbye. Despite having stopped a few years ago, I needed this match to finish my cycle. I owed it to everyone who supported and still supports me", said the former player.

Revealed by Mais Querido, Adriano played 94 games and scored 46 goals in his two spells at the club. In the first, in 2000, he helped Mengão win their second Rio championship and the Champions Cup. Upon his return to Brazil, in 2009, he was a key player in winning the Brazilian Championship.

SUCCESS ALSO IN EUROPE< /p>

At Inter Milan, Adriano consolidated his international career. Between 2001 and 2009, there were 177 matches and 74 goals, in addition to seven important titles, including four Italian championships and two Italian Cups. His performance in Italy earned him the nickname "Emperor", which accompanied him for the rest of his football career. b>

Adriano has not played professionally since 2016, when he played two games for Miami United, in the United States. Before that, the striker had spells at clubs such as Athletico-PR and Corinthians, but without repeating the success of his times at Inter and Flamengo. In recent years, the former player participated in charity events, such as the Zico Star Game and Futebol Solidário, which raised funds for victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.

Adriano's farewell will be organized by the company MTR7, in partnership with MCAsport and the firm Diogo Souza Advogados. The former striker will be the host of the event, responsible for inviting and calling up the players who will participate in the friendly. The event promises to be a milestone in the history of Brazilian football, celebrating the career of one of the great idols of CRF and Inter Milan.

Rodrigo Dunshee gained important support in his candidacy for president of Flamengo. Luciano Bandeira, president of the Rio de Janeiro section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-RJ), announced his support for the candidate at a lunch in downtown Rio de Janeiro, this Tuesday (17).

Luciano is a member of the Advocacia Rubro-Negra group, made up only of lawyers who are members of the club, and asks the rest of the members to follow the vote for Rodrigo Dunshee. It is worth noting that other members had already declared their support for the current management.

“We want to build this story, help make this story even greater. President Landim, together with Rodrigo, managed to make the dream of land for the Flamengo stadium come true. It is very important that we have this group leading the process. (…) It is a very important election for Flamengo. (…) I ask everyone who has always accompanied me to help me in the campaign to elect Rodrigo Dunshee president”, said Luciano Bandeira in his speech.

It is worth highlighting that six political groups have already declared support for Rodrigo Dunshee to next president of Flamengo. They are: Fla Esportes; Flamengo Raiz; Our Fla; Red-Black Synergy; União Rubro-Negra and Vanguarda Rubro-Negra.

This is in addition to the groups that have part of the members supporting the candidate in the Flamengo elections: Advocacia RN and FLA+.

The Elections in Flamengo

The election to define the next president of Flamengo is scheduled to take place on December 9th, a Monday, at 8am, in Gávea. Maurício Gomes de Mattos and Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap) are the main opponents to Rodrigo Dunshee at the moment.

Wallim Vasconcellos, Pedro Paulo and Delair Dumbrosck also announced their candidacy. The tickets need to be registered from September 10th to 30th and it is difficult to gather signatures. It will not be surprising, therefore, if a candidate does not achieve the minimum required.
