Flamengo's defeat to Grêmio last Sunday (22) became the headline in Uruguay's main newspaper , "El País", which questioned Rubro-Negro for the way it acted in the defeat against the team from Rio Grande do Sul.
Aiming for the decision in Uruguay, Tite chose to preserve 12 athletes and leave them in Rio de Janeiro. Thus, the coach commanded a practically reserve team in the defeat to Grêmio.
With a full bench of Garotos do Ninho, Grêmio opened the scoring, but Rubro-Negro equalized with Matheus Gonçalves. However, the team from Rio Grande do Sul led again 3-2, as Felipe Teresa, also from the base, scored in extra time.

0Flamengo was defeated by Grêmio last Sunday (22), in the Brasileirão. However, in addition to the goals, the match was marked by controversies involving refereeing. This is because Carlinhos was sent off after a dubious move involving defender Kannemann. In the summary, the match referee, Matheus Delgado Candançan, explained the reason for the expulsion.
“Expelled for violent conduct by slapping Walter Kannemann in the face outside the ball dispute. He needed medical attention and continued in the match. After the expulsion, on the way to the locker room, the player threw a punch in the var review area, breaking the acrylic”, wrote the referee.
At the time, Carlinhos and Kannemann were fighting for space, out of the referee's view. As the red-black number 22 tried to free himself from the defender's marking, he ended up raising his hand. In the movement, the attacker unintentionally hits the opponent's face. Thus, the player was sent off without the move being reviewed by VAR, which angered Flamengo fans.
With the defeat, Flamengo remained in fourth place on the Brasileirão leaderboard, with just 45 points. Furthermore, Mais Querido saw leader Botafogo open an 11-point lead.
Now, Mais Querido's squad focuses on the decision against Peñarol, in the Libertadores. Next Thursday (26), Rubro-Negro visits the Uruguayans to play the second leg of the quarter-finals. The match will be at 7pm.

As she is devoted to the saint, she explained that she visited the basilica to give thanks for the health of the entire his family and also because of his cancer treatment.
“Walk with faith, I will because faith doesn't usually do it! Thank Our Lady of Aparecida for all her support, thank you for the treatment, the support network I have from family and friends, thank you for everyone who prays for me! Thank you,” the singer wrote in an Instagram post.
At the end of August, Preta told her followers that she needed to resume cancer treatment after eight months of remission. The cancer had spread to four parts of his body. She was discharged in September and celebrated the moment with her family.
Preta Gil was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the beginning of last year. Among the symptoms that made her suspect a health problem were intense constipation and flat stools, with mucus and blood.
At the time, she underwent radiotherapy sessions and surgical treatment. The singer also had to undergo a total abdominal hysterectomy, a procedure that involves removing the uterus.
After primary treatment, she entered a phase called “no evidence of the disease”, according to doctors interviewed by the Estadão. In other words, the cancer was no longer detectable by physical, imaging, tomography and/or blood tests.
In August, however, the artist reported that the cancer had returned, being detected in two lymph nodes, in the peritoneum – membrane in the abdominal cavity that surrounds organs such as the stomach and intestine – and in the ureter.
The diagnosis came while Preta was undergoing periodic exams in the remission stage of the disease at Hospital Sírio Libanês, in São Paulo. Recently, in an interview with Fantástico, she said that she had to amputate her rectum last year, during treatment.
