Coach Tite is facing moments of uncertainty in charge of Flamengo, and his departure could be announced soon. Even though he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of Brazilian football, the former coach of the Brazilian National Team is going through a complicated phase.
Flamengo's situation in the Libertadores is delicate, with little chance of winning the group leadership and still running the risk of not progressing to the next phase. Given this scenario, many fans are clamoring for the coach's departure, especially after the defeat to Botafogo in the Brasileirão, which generated intense criticism.
According to Fabrício Lopes, in a statement on the 8th, the coach will be retained at least until the next clash against Corinthians. However, a new negative result could precipitate his departure.
In search of alternatives, Flamengo is already analyzing possible substitutes. Internally, there is great interest in the Portuguese Carlos Carvalhal, a target of the club's board for a long time. The coach is currently without a club, which would facilitate a possible negotiation. However, there is an important obstacle in this search for a foreign coach.
Due to the election year, the Rubro-Negro board would need to offer a short-term contract, until the end of the year. This condition makes it difficult to negotiate with foreign coaches, who generally seek longer and more stable contracts.
Carlos Carvalhal, aged 58, has extensive experience in European clubs, having played for renowned teams such as Olympiacos, Celta, Braga, Rio Ave, Swansea and Sporting.

Flamengo concluded the sale of defender Fabrício Bruno to West Ham, from England, for 15 million euros (R$83.6 million at current prices). The transaction represents a profit of approximately 82% for the red-black club.
Fabrício Bruno was signed by Flamengo from Red Bull Bragantino in February 2022 for 15 million reais. In just over two years, Flamengo will be able to pocket R$68.3 million more than it initially spent.
The sale of Fabrício Bruno was six times greater than the amount paid for his signing. Furthermore, the defender was sold for a significantly higher price than defender Nino, formerly of Fluminense, who left the club for R$30 million in 2023.

Amazonas announced this Thursday morning (23) the dismissal of coach Adilson Batista. The decision was made after the club's elimination to Flamengo in the Copa do Brasil.
In an official note, the club reported that the coach's departure occurred after a conversation between Batista and the board, in which it was agreed that he would not continue in charge of the team.
Adilson Batista was in charge of Amazonas in eight games, registering just one victory, five defeats and two draws. Despite the efforts and professionalism demonstrated during his period at the club, the results were not enough to keep the coach in office.
“Amazonas FC announces the dismissal of coach Adilson Batista after a conversation between the professional and the board this Thursday (23). The club thanks the coach for all his commitment, dedication and professionalism during this period in which he was in charge of the team”, says the note released by the club.
With classification guaranteed in the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo now turns its attention to the Copa Libertadores da América. The Rio team will face Millonarios (COL) next Tuesday (28), at 9pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.

Carlos Carvalhal took over Olympiacos (GRE) at the beginning of December and on his first day of work, he couldn't contain himself, and had to talk about Flamengo with the team's star: Rodinei. The 58-year-old Portuguese coach joked with the former red-black player regarding his negotiations with Mais Querido in 2022.
“When Carvalhal arrived on the first day he came to greet me and said: “ Look, I was almost your coach at Flamengo, huh?” He's a great guy, a great coach. I even talked to Diego Alves, who is a guy who has some similar methods to what I went through with Jesus at Flamengo”, revealed Rodinei in an interview with ge.
Carvalhal was close to Flamengo at the start of the season in 2022, but the board agreed with his fellow countryman, Paulo Sousa. At the time, the coach was at Braga (POR). Before taking over Olympiacos, the Portuguese played for Al-Wehda, Wahda Abu Dhabi and Celta Vigo.
At the Greek club, Carlos Carvalhal has only three games, with two wins and one draw. Rodinei praised the coach and said that he has a different role on the field with the arrival of the Portuguese:
“There is one person who works the defensive line, another who works the defensive line. He has a lot of resources, he is a great coach. With him, I play a different role than the one I had been playing. He's almost like a more open winger, when the left-back makes the cross, I have to attack the area and then return to the line of 4”, said the former Flamengo full-back.
In January 2022 , Carlos Carvalhal spoke about the invitation from Flamengo and Atlético-MG, who were also looking for a coach. The Portuguese confirmed the clubs' interest and said he was 'world class'.
“The truth is that I have received good invitations throughout my career, including, as was public, now from Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro . They are big clubs worldwide, but the reality is that, unfortunately, I never received invitations from Spain”, said Carvalhal
