The defender, aware of the imminence of his transfer, chose not to get involved in the Libertadores games out of respect for both parties involved and his own safety.

The information was confirmed by journalist Venê Casagrande, recognized for his reliable sources within the sporting world, in its recent publication. The news quickly spread, sparking debate among fans about Ortiz's possible debut for Flamengo and his impact on the team.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Léo Ortiz, known for his defensive ability and leadership on the field, has been the target of interest from several Brazilian clubs. His decision to transfer to Flamengo highlights the Rio club's desire to reinforce its defense and seek important achievements throughout the season.

Red Bull Bragantino, in turn, has not yet issued an official statement regarding Ortiz's situation. However, it is expected that the club will respect the player's decision and look for alternatives to make up for his absence in the next Libertadores matches.

Meanwhile, Flamengo fans eagerly await official confirmation of the signing of Léo Ortiz and speculate about his possible performance under the command of coach Renato Gaúcho. The arrival of the defender could represent a significant reinforcement for the red and black team, which seeks to consolidate itself as one of the main candidates for national and international titles.

After playing for Estrela Amadora in the 2023/2024 season, striker André Luiz should agree on his permanent transfer to the Portuguese team in the next few days. The 22-year-old was on loan from Flamengo and had his name considered for a return to Brazil in the middle of the year.

OTB Sports, the company that manages the athlete's career, was instrumental in the Brazilian's stay at the club, according to the TNT Sports portal, which welcomes the player's retention. André played in 28 matches for Estrela Amadora, scoring 4 goals. The team remained in the country's top league by achieving victory over Gil Vicente in the last round of the competition.

"Portuguese football is very competitive football. This was a difficult season for us, but fortunately We managed to stay in the first division. Now it's time to rest so we can get back to training and start thinking about the start of the championship. Estrela Amadora will have 70% of the athlete’s rights. André Luiz spent time in the youth teams of América-RJ, in the under-17 and under-19 ranks. In 2020, he played for Flamengo's under-20s and, the following year, made his debut for Rubro-Negro's professional team.

André Luiz even negotiated his move to Red Bull Bragantino, in an exchange which would involve left-back Juninho Capixaba. However, the deal ended up not moving forward and he will remain in Portuguese football
