Vasco and Flamengo will play the second classic between the teams this Sunday (2), at Maracanã, in the seventh round of the Brasileirão. The Cruzmaltina team will be led by Álvaro Pacheco, the team's new coach. In his presentation, the rival's new commander highlighted the challenges of preparing the team for the confrontation against Rubro-Negro.

"Great debut. Right in a classic, with the expectation of more than 30 thousand Vasco fans at the stadium The involvement and passion that the fans promote in the stadium leave no doubt about what the atmosphere will be like. In the last few days, we have trained two variations: the line of four and five behind", began Álvaro Pacheco.

" Playing my first game in the Brasileirão in a derby is challenging. When I arrive, for the idea of the game to flow, our concern at this moment is to convey the general concepts of our guideline and put them into practice in the next challenge. We need to have the courage to play, put our ideas on the field, dominate and identify the moments of the game, and never lose our balance. We are starting our process", concluded the coach.

SITUATION OF THE TEAMS IN THE BRAISLEIRÃO TABLE.

O Flamengo occupies third place in the Brasileirão classification table, behind only Athletico-PR and Bahia, with 11 points. Vasco is in 13th place, with six. Thus, Mais Querido fights for the top of the table and the rival fights to climb a few more positions and not fight against relegation.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

So, Flamengo and Vasco meet again this season and play in the seventh round of the Brasileirão. Remembering that the competition was stopped in two rounds due to the climate tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul. Therefore, the teams return to the field this Sunday (2), at 4pm.
