Cuéllar's troubled departure in 2019 left a bittersweet relationship between the athlete and the current board. . The player left Mais Querido through 'the back', which did not please the club's top management. For this reason, Mengão rules out the possibility of having a Colombian again in its squad.

ALTERNATIVES IN THE MARKET

However, the São Paulo club faces a major challenge: reaching a financial agreement with Al-Shabab. The Saudis are asking for around 5 million euros (approximately R$30.6 million) to release the player, which has been a significant obstacle for Corinthians. The Corinthians board is looking for alternatives to make hiring viable and reinforce the squad.
