Flamengo enters Nigerian Shola in the group stage of the main Libertadores. Of the 16 Libertadores U20 champions, only Felipe Brian, Jean, João Victor Silva and João Victor Alves were not registered. Flamengo, one of the most emblematic clubs in Brazilian football, is about to begin another journey in the Copa Libertadores da América. FLAMENGO GOES INCISIVELY TO LIBERTADORES

With the registration of the young Nigerian Shola for the group stage of the continental competition, the Rio club shows a commitment to the renewal and talent of its youth categories. This decision highlights not only the confidence in the player's potential, but also highlights the importance given to training new talents at the club.

Shola, a 19-year-old Nigerian young man, has caught the attention of scouts at < a href="https://gazetadourubu.com/noticia/fabricio-bruno-com-moral-flamengo-segura-seu-tesouro-no-clube" target="_blank">Flamengo since arriving at club's youth categories. His career at Rubro-Negro was impressive due to his technical ability and his performance in training and preparatory games. Since then, he has been considered one of the club's most promising prospects.

The opportunity to be entered into the Libertadores group stage represents a milestone in Shola's career. He will not only have the chance to represent the Flamengo in one of the most prestigious competitions on the continent, but also to show its value on an international stage. His call-up for the tournament is a recognition of his effort and dedication in training, as well as being an encouragement to other young talents in the club's youth categories.

It is important to highlight that the decision to register Shola in the Libertadores was not taken in isolation. Of the 16 Libertadores U20 champions, only four players were not included in the list of entries for the main competition: Felipe Brian, Jean, João Victor Silva and João Victor Alves. This demonstrates Flamengo's policy of valuing and giving opportunities to players trained in its youth categories, thus strengthening the club's identity and tradition.

Flamengo and Amazonas face each other this Wednesday (22), at 9:30 pm, at Arena da Amazônia, for the return of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. While Fla had a week to prepare, as Série A was suspended, the opponent continued the marathon and drew with Paysandu, on Saturday (18). After the game, coach Adilson Batista spoke about physical exhaustion and did not rule out changes to face Fla.

The coach opted to choose a practically starting team to face Paysandu, but the result was just a 1-1 draw. 1 indoors. The initial planning was to spare athletes, and he admits that the decision could increase problems with wear before Amazonas x Flamengo. On the other hand, he also shows confidence in the options he has in the squad.

“We have thermography, physiology, massage staff, the DM's back office and talking to some of them I would even make changes, but we decided to permanence. We know about wear and tear, it's difficult when we have this streak. Sometimes you talk about casting, spare parts, changes. And you have to keep doing it. It’s a characteristic of the cast itself too, it’s understanding what they have”, said Adilson Batista.

The team had six changes compared to the one that faced Flamengo at Maracanã, whether due to the return of athletes, technical options or absences. Goalkeeper Marcão and defender Miranda, for example, became starters in the last few games by choice of the coach.

“We have to think game by game, it's another competition. I asked for the game with Paysandu to be played on Sunday, precisely because of the wear and tear, but we were not accommodated. I knew we would have a lot of wear and tear. It's thinking game by game. Trying to recover them, Monday we started working and we thought about the difficult game for the Copa do Brasil”, he stated in another response.

The only sector in which the coach really managed to rest the starters was the attack, which only had Matheus Serafim in the starting lineup against Paysandu. Sassá, who is recovering from injury, and William Barbio, rested, should return to the starting lineup in the Copa do Brasil. The two are the team's top scorers this season, with seven goals.

It is worth remembering that Flamengo has the advantage of a draw in the game for victory at Maracanã. In other words, Amazonas will have to attack and try to win by at least one goal to take the fight to penalties.

The renovation of São Januário is getting closer and closer to getting off the ground and is at an advanced stage at the Municipal Council of Rio de Janeiro. And its approval by councilors could directly benefit the stadium project of Vasco's rival, Flamengo. Common point

The renovation of São Januário and the Flamengo stadium project have one thing in common: the "constructive potential" mechanism suggested by the City of Rio de Janeiro.

In the case of the Cruzmaltino stadium, the construction potential has already been approved by the City Hall and is being considered by the Chamber. It has already had a public hearing and will go through at least two more before going to a vote. If councilors give a positive signal to the project, Vasco will be able to sell it on the market to use, necessarily, in the renovation of its stadium. It is estimated that the hill team will be able to raise around R$500 million.

In the case of Flamengo, mayor Eduardo Paes proposed two possibilities of constructive potential: one for Caixa Econômica Federal and another for the Flemish headquarters in Gávea.

In relation to Caixa, the mechanism would be for its land in the Gasologista region, in the Center (RJ). With this, the state bank could raise funds in other parts of the city and make the region cheaper for Rubro-Negro, which wants to build its stadium there.

However, the possibility has become more concrete It's for the Gávea headquarters. The money raised would have to be used to build the stadium. A meeting to discuss the issue took place on April 15th between the red-black president, Rodolfo Landim, and the mayor of Rio, Eduardo Paes.

Flamengo, however, still encounters resistance from Caixa. The club and the state bank did not reach a common denominator on the issue of values and the purchase of land in Gasometer. In any case, having the constructive potential in hand is already a big step, and the possible approval of the mechanism for Vasco is an indication that the same should happen with Rubro-Negro.

Paes lobbies for Fla's stadium in the Gasometer

Eduardo Paes has once again lobbied in favor of the Flamengo stadium in the Gasometer. This time, during an action to publicize City Hall's new project: Parque do Porto, an environmental project to modernize Rio's port area.
