The construction of the dream Flamengo stadium goes through major obstacles. The problem of the moment for Rubro-Negro is the Rio de Janeiro Energy and Basic Sanitation Regulatory Agency (Agenersa). In Mais Querido's view, the company “intends to prevent” the project because 1% of the Gasologista land belongs to the Naturgy brand. The club issued a letter in a ‘high tone’.
“Flamengo, out of mere freedom and good faith, has been negotiating with the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro to find the best logistics for the relocation of the gas distribution infrastructure and is not opposed to involve (gas supplier) CEG in the aforementioned negotiations”, says an excerpt from the note issued by Flamengo

“However, it will not accept nor tolerate any attempt at invention or imposition of obligations on the use of the property acquired by him, or, even, that create obstacles to the fulfillment of the obligation assumed before the Municipality, to build sports equipment on site”, added the club.

At the end of last year, Agenersa asked Flamengo and Companhia Distribuidora de Gás, the current Naturgy, to talk about impacts related to the construction of the stadium and security aspects. Mais Querido does not intend to comply with the agency's request, according to a document to which CBN had access.
The Red -Negro understands that he acquired the land in an expropriation procedure by public auction, promoted by the City Hall. Therefore, Flamengo does not recognize Agenersa when the matter is related to the Gasologista land.
NOTE FROM AGENERSA
“AGENERSA clarifies that exercised its institutional function of regulating the adequacy and safety of the public piped gas distribution service, ensuring the assets used to provide the service to a contingent of approximately 400 thousand users.
Any construction on site is subject to to the definition of a solution for the transfer of existing infrastructure and must be directly negotiated between Flamengo and CEG and mediated by AGENERSA and the State of Rio de Janeiro.
In the event of initiation of any intervention on the ground without the safe removal of equipment and installations affected by the public piped gas distribution service, AGENERSA will adopt all appropriate legal measures to suspend works aiming to safeguard the continuity of public service and the security of the community”.
NOTE FROM NATURGY
“Themes related to construction of the stadium in the Gasometer area are of a technical nature, capable of being resolved and are being discussed between the parties. The relocation of the existing gas station on site was already planned and will take place safely and calmly, within a plan agreed between the parties. It is a regulation station that occupies only 1% of the land area of 86 thousand m2 and whose relocation operation is already in the understanding phase between Naturgy, Rio City Hall and Flamengo“.
Osvaldo recalls Vitória's good record against Rubro-Negro at Maracanã and predicts a balanced clash in the 21st round of the Brasileirão

Vitória is preparing for a challenging clash in the 21st round of the Brazilian Championship. The Bahian team faces Flamengo this Monday (25), at 9 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. Despite the two teams' different moments in the table, striker Osvaldo showed confidence in seeking a good result in Rio de Janeiro.
"We're going to Maracanã and trying to play a great game. We haven't lost at Maracanã in a few games, so I think we can build on that to put in a great performance. Flamengo is a tough opponent; they're the best team in our football world , and they've been achieving great results," the striker declared, before adding:
"But on the field, it's 11 against 11, especially against Vitória, who have a history of playing great games and surprising in several matches. I think we have what it takes to get there and get a great result . We know how difficult the game will be," Osvaldo concluded.
Flamengo takes the field to defend its sole lead in the Brasileirão , with 43 points. Filipe Luís's team is enjoying an excellent run of form , having gone six games unbeaten in the competition.
In addition to a solid run in the national championship, the Rio de Janeiro team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores last week by eliminating Internacional. Prior to that, they had already beaten the same opponent 3-1 at Beira-Rio, cementing their good run.
Athletes are one card away from suspension and may miss the team's next game against Grêmio in the next round of the Brazilian Championship.

Flamengo's upcoming match against Vitória raises alarm bells for Filipe Luís. Three players on the squad are suspended and risk suspension for the next match against Grêmio if they receive another yellow card this round.
Among those suspended, two are regular starters in defense: Léo Pereira and Léo Ortiz. Both have two yellow cards and, if cautioned again, will be out for the remainder of the competition.
The red-and-black coach may have a difficult time building a defense. Danilo, recently recovered, emerges as an immediate alternative if one of the starting center-backs is penalized . However, if both receive cards against Vitória, Filipe Luís may resort to a player from the youth academy to form the defense alongside Danilo.
In addition to the defense, defensive midfielder Allan is also suspended, but the situation is less of a concern for the coaching staff . With Erick Pulgar injured, Allan had been gaining minutes, but lost his place after the emergence of Saúl, who is expected to continue as a starter alongside Jorginho. Even if Allan receives his third yellow card, the Jorginho-Saúl duo is likely to be kept for the match against Grêmio.
Flamengo, the sole leader of the Brazilian Championship with 43 points, is enjoying a positive run. The team is six games unbeaten in Série A and secured its place in the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores last week by eliminating Internacional. Prior to that, they defeated the same opponent 3-1 at Beira-Rio Stadium, reinforcing their positive momentum under Filipe Luís.
