The Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paquetá, currently playing for West Ham United, is at the center of a controversy involving the English Football Association (FA). In a recently released statement, Paquetá expressed his surprise and dissatisfaction with the accusations he received from the entity. He is accused of violating betting rules, an issue that has been dealt with rigorously by English sporting authorities. "I am extremely surprised and upset that the FA have decided to charge me. I have cooperated at every stage of the investigation and provided all the information I could during these nine months. I deny the allegations in full and will fight with all my strength to clear my name. Due to the ongoing process, I will not be providing further comment,” the player said in his official statement.

 WHAT IS HAPPENING?

The situation began to gain attention when rumors emerged that Paquetá would be involved in betting related to football matches. The FA rules are clear and strict regarding the prohibition of any involvement of professional players with betting on football matches, to avoid manipulation and maintain the integrity of the sport. The investigation lasted nine months, during which time Paquetá says he fully cooperated.

Paquetá's statement reflects not only his surprise, but also a firm determination to defend his name. “I deny the allegations completely and will fight with all my strength to clear my name,” he said, emphasizing his stance against the allegations. The player made it clear that, due to the ongoing legal process, he will not comment further on the case, probably following legal guidelines to avoid any additional complications. >

Bruno Henrique presented a gift to a child fan at the end of the game this Wednesday (05). Flamengo had just won the first leg against Athlético-PR in the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. The player was one of the highlights of the game, scoring the winning goal.

The young fan took a sign to Maracanã with the words: “Bruno Henrique, give me your shirt”. In the video disclosed on social networks, Bruno goes close to the crowd with the clear objective of presenting the child with the Sacred Mantle. Around, everyone is jubilant with the presence of the ace. The young man did not hide his emotion and vibrated a lot with the present, screaming and jumping. He hugged his father, also a Flamengo fan, and said: Thank you, Bruno, thanks. Ah, it's Bruno Henrique!”, sang the red-black man, with a big smile on his face.

Bruno Henrique was a fundamental part of this victory against Athlético-PR. Mengão conceded a goal in the opening minutes of the match and only managed to recover in the second half. First came a goal by Pedro - from the penalty spot - and with 20 minutes left to go, he scored once again, driving the more than 60,000 Nação fans present to madness.

It was the Flamengo supporters who asked for Bruno Henrique. While the team was still losing 1-0, people started to shout the name of the striker who was on the bench. The coach, Jorge Sampaoli, responded to requests and replaced Victor Hugo with shirt number 27 at 22' of the second half. Four minutes was enough time for Bruno to respond to the red-black clamor and scored the winning goal.

With the 2 X1, Mengão will play for a draw, at the Arena da Baixada, next Wednesday (12), to take the place in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil.
