SLOW STEPS! FLAMENGO ALREADY HAS A MEETING SCHEDULED FOR ANOTHER ADVANCE IN THE PURCHASE OF THE GASÔMETRO LAND

The Flamengo is close to taking a significant step towards realizing its dream of having its own stadium. The club's board of directors, in collaboration with local authorities, is committed to acquiring the Gasologista land, located in the center of Rio de Janeiro. In a recent video published on social media, deputy Pedro Paulo reported on a crucial meeting scheduled for Monday, the 27th. The meeting will be attended by Carlo Caiado, president of the Chamber, Eduardo Paes, mayor of Rio, representatives of Flamengo and Caixa Econômica Federal.

The meeting seeks to finalize the strategy for transferring the construction potential of Gávea, Flamengo's current headquarters, to make the acquisition of the Gasologista land cheaper. Pedro Paulo commented on the importance of the meeting: “We managed to drag our mayor to be there at the meeting together with Caiado, it will be a combination of mayor and president of the Chamber to talk about the stadium and the proposal to transfer the construction potential. It will be on the 27th.”

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW INVESTMENT

So that Flamengo can move forward with the purchase of the land , it is necessary for the City Council to approve the transfer of Gávea’s construction potential to Caixa Econômica Federal. Despite being a relatively simple process, it requires time. Internally, Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim is determined to complete the acquisition by December, coinciding with the end of his term as president of the club.

However, there is an obstacle in the Flamengo. Architect Fabrício Chicca, from the Mundo na Bola channel, revealed that Caixa's initial plan is to sell the Gasologista land in four separate parts for the construction of apartments. Given this, Flamengo, with the support of Rio City Hall, is racing against time to present a convincing proposal and ensure that the land is allocated for the construction of the stadium.
