The Flamengo is close to taking a significant step towards realizing its dream of having its own stadium. The club's board of directors, in collaboration with local authorities, is committed to acquiring the Gasologista land, located in the center of Rio de Janeiro. In a recent video published on social media, deputy Pedro Paulo reported on a crucial meeting scheduled for Monday, the 27th. The meeting will be attended by Carlo Caiado, president of the Chamber, Eduardo Paes, mayor of Rio, representatives of Flamengo and Caixa Econômica Federal.

The meeting seeks to finalize the strategy for transferring the construction potential of Gávea, Flamengo's current headquarters, to make the acquisition of the Gasologista land cheaper. Pedro Paulo commented on the importance of the meeting: “We managed to drag our mayor to be there at the meeting together with Caiado, it will be a combination of mayor and president of the Chamber to talk about the stadium and the proposal to transfer the construction potential. It will be on the 27th.”

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW INVESTMENT

So that Flamengo can move forward with the purchase of the land , it is necessary for the City Council to approve the transfer of Gávea’s construction potential to Caixa Econômica Federal. Despite being a relatively simple process, it requires time. Internally, Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim is determined to complete the acquisition by December, coinciding with the end of his term as president of the club.

However, there is an obstacle in the Flamengo. Architect Fabrício Chicca, from the Mundo na Bola channel, revealed that Caixa's initial plan is to sell the Gasologista land in four separate parts for the construction of apartments. Given this, Flamengo, with the support of Rio City Hall, is racing against time to present a convincing proposal and ensure that the land is allocated for the construction of the stadium.

In this Thursday's match (13) against Grêmio, Flamengo will have a bench full of young talents. The decision, in line with coach Tite's strategy, aims to harness and develop the potential of the club's youth players. Among the new additions are Dyogo Alves, a 20-year-old goalkeeper, and defenders Iago and Carbone, both 19 years old. In addition to them, midfielder Rayan Lucas, also 19 years old, and striker Werton, 20 years old, complete the list of young promises. Everton Araújo, a 21-year-old midfielder, had already been mentioned by Tite and remains on the squad list.

This renewal in the squad reflects a growing trend in Brazilian football: the focus on emerging talents who could become protagonists in the future. Flamengo, known for its strong base, has reaped rewards by integrating these young athletes into the main team. The game against Grêmio will be an important opportunity for these players to show their value and gain experience on the field.

FLAMENGO GIVES YOUNG PEOPLE OPPORTUNITIES

Historically, Flamengohas always had a strong base, with players who often stand out on the national and international scene. The inclusion of young people like Dyogo Alves, Iago, Carbone, Rayan Lucas and Werton in the list of players listed for the match is a clear indication of the confidence that the club places in its base.

Dyogo Alves, for example, is a promising 20-year-old goalkeeper who has been closely watched by the coaching staff. Iago and Carbone, both 19-year-old defenders, have demonstrated consistency and potential at youth level. Rayan Lucas, a 19-year-old midfielder, and Werton, a 20-year-old striker, also stand out for their skill and ability to contribute offensively.

Yesterday morning, the Human Development Department of Flamengo organized a special talk for the club's young under-12 players. The guest to speak to the kids was Filipe Luís, coach of the under-17s and future commander of Flamengo's under-20s. During the conversation, which took place at the club's Training Center, a moment of relaxation caught everyone's attention.

While Filipe Luís shared his experiences and guidance with the young athletes, one of the boys raised his hand and , with the spontaneity characteristic of his age, asked a question that made everyone laugh: “Filipe Luís, is playing with Gabigol cool?” The coach, who is known for his good humor and ease in connecting with players, laughed along with those present before responding to the boy's curiosity.

CHILDREN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The lecture was part of a series of activities promoted by Flamengo's Human Development Department, which aims not only at the technical development of athletes, but also at forming conscious citizens prepared for the challenges of life on and off the field. Second Filipe Luís, the chat was an opportunity to share his experiences in professional football and pass on some valuable lessons to the club's young talents.

Flamengo and Caixa Econômica Federal continue in intense negotiations to define the value of the 87 thousand square meter plot of land where the club wants to build its stadium. Flamengo plans to pay around R$250 million, but Caixa Econômica Federal insists on an amount close to R$400 million.

Eduardo Paes, mayor of Rio de Janeiro, has played an important role in the negotiations . In a recent meeting with Rodolfo Landim, president of Flamengo, Paes stated that he could expropriate the land if Caixa does not adjust its demands. Flamengo, in turn, is already in negotiations to secure the naming rights for the future arena.

On Tuesday (11), Eduardo Paes used his social networks to pressure Caixa Econômica Federal, arguing that a recent forgiveness of R$4 billion granted by City Hall should facilitate the transfer of the Gasometer land. Paes, a Vasco fan, mentioned the 6-1 defeat in the last 'Classic of the Millions' with a good-humored tone.

Although he supports Flamengo's stadium project, Eduardo Paes did not hide the rivalry between the clubs. He admitted helping Flamengo with “suffering in his heart”, but recognized the club’s importance for the city. Paes also highlighted the imminent completion of works in São Januário, reaffirming his commitment to both clubs.
