The phase of Pedro, Flamengo, is one of the best on the field. The player is Brazil's top scorer this year with 29 goals scored. However, off the field, the center forward also has a lot to celebrate, as the number 9's twin daughters were born last Monday (12) with his wife Fernanda Nogueira.

In a post on Instagram, Pedro announced the names of his daughters, Isabela and Antônia, and using his faith, published a message biblical. “Isabela and Antônia – 12/08/2019 The day that the Lord separated to give us these two blessings. You are God's promises.

The Lord has helped us so far. ‘Since I was born I have been handed over to you; from the womb you are my God.’ Psalms 22: 10″, wrote Flamengo’s number 9.

Pedro had announced Fernanda’s pregnancy after the classic against Fluminense in the Carioca Championship. The striker celebrated his goal in the 2-0 victory over his rival by placing the ball inside his shirt, a typical gesture made by players to announce that they are going to be fathers, and making the number two with his hands, which meant that they were twins.

In an interview at the end of the game, Pedro acknowledged the good phase on the field, but reinforced that the main thing was his joy at fatherhood. “This phase is the best a human being can have: being a father. I'm happy for this moment. I want to thank God for these blessings to our family. I hope I can score a lot of goals for them too.”

Pedro will have the opportunity to score the first goal for his daughters this Thursday (15th) when Flamengo faces Bolívar (BOL) in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Liberators. The Nation promises to fill Maracanã and tickets are already sold out for the match.

Check it out:
