With the imminent departure of Gonçalo Ramos to Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica are looking for a quality striker to replace the player. The reds' main targets are Pedro, from Flamengo, and Marcos Leonardo, from Santos, as reported by Bruno Andrade, from UOL.
The Portuguese club has a preference for a player already established in Europe, which makes Santiago Giménez, from Feyenoord, the main option on the list. However, its price is high, revolving around 40 million euros. According to the journalist, Flamengo would not facilitate a possible negotiation for Pedro.
In this way, Marcos Leonardo becomes one of the 'easy' names, as Santos wants something around 15 to 20 million euros for the athlete. Flamengo's shirt number 9 was suspended and out of the game against Olímpia, but should return for the duel against Cuiabá, away from home, in a game valid for the Brasileirão.

Increasingly established as a Flamengo idol, Giorgian De Arrascaeta is enjoying one of the finest moments of his career. Since donning the iconic No. 10 jersey in December 2024 , the Uruguayan has taken center stage in the Flamengo midfield.
With 18 goals and 13 assists this season, he has already equaled his highest-scoring year since arriving in Rio de Janeiro and could achieve the best performance of his professional career. The midfielder will be one of coach Filipe Luís's main weapons in this Thursday's duel (18), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã , for the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals.

According to data from the specialized website ' Transfermarkt ', Estudiantes has the second least valuable squad among those qualified for the quarterfinals, valued at 45.6 million euros (approximately R$283.8 million). Flamengo is at the other end of the list: it has the second most expensive squad in the competition, estimated at 195.1 million euros (approximately R$1.2 billion), behind only Palmeiras.

Flamengo U-20 will be represented at the World Cup by two players. Coach Ramon Menezes called up, this Thursday (18), defenders João Victor and Iago to defend the Brazilian National Team in the tournament. The competition will be held in Chile between September 27 and October 19.
Brazil is in Group C of the U-20 World Cup and will face Mexico, Morocco, and Spain in the initial phase. A total of 24 teams participate in the competition, divided into six groups of four teams each. The top two teams in each group and the four best third-place teams advance to the round of 16. From this stage onward, the matches become knockout until the title is decided.
