Praia Clube and Sesc-Flamengo meet, for the third consecutive season, in the semifinals of the Women's Superliga. The match will be this Monday (08), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Arena Praia. The two teams decided on a place in the final two editions of the competition and begin the best-of-three series in Uberlândia. The match will be broadcast on sportv2 (closed channel).
Sesc- Flamengo's mission is to reverse Minas Gerais' advantage in the competition. In the last two years, Praia Clube won the match and reached the final of the Women's Superliga. With the advantage of having had the best campaign in the first phase, Rubro-Negro will be able to play two games at home, if a third match is necessary.
Sesc-Flamengo and Praia Clube faced each other in the semi-finals of the Superliga in the last two seasons and, on both occasions, the Uberlândia team took a place in the final. In 2021/22, after finishing the first phase as leader and eliminating Pinheiros in the quarterfinals, Praia Clube faced Sesc-Flamengo, who had defeated Osasco in the quarterfinals. After losing the first match, the Minas Gerais club won the other two games and qualified for the decision against Minas, placing second.
Last season, 2022/23, a new meeting in the semifinals of the Super League. Just like in the previous season, the team from Minas Gerais lost the first game and won the other two. It went to the decision again against Minas and, this time, it ended with the title.
In this season's Women's Superliga, however, there was only Sesc-Flamengo. In the first round, when the Rio team returned to Maracanãzinho after 10 years, Bernardinho's team dominated the game and beat the current Superliga champion by 3 sets to 0. On their return, in Uberlândia, another red-black victory, in another 3 sets to 0. On a double round day at Arena Praia, Sesc-Flamengo took no notice of the hosts, ignored the atmosphere in the Arena Praia stands and secured the best campaign in the first phase of the competition.

Flamengo announced this Wednesday (13) that it has terminated its sponsorship agreement with Pixbet . The contract, valid from January 2024, was for two years (until December), with the possibility of automatic renewal for two more seasons — a clause that should be activated in September.
Expected values with PixBet:
The agreement also included FlaBet, Flamengo's own betting house, managed by PixBet:
The favorite to take over Flamengo's master sponsorship , SuperBet, faces stiff competition from Betano. The club has not yet decided on a new partner, but expects to sign a contract starting in September. Both companies have submitted three-year proposals, with values exceeding R$200 million per season and bonuses for targets, which could make the deal even more lucrative.
According to the ge portal, SuperBet's offer would surpass the contract signed with São Paulo, valued at R$600 million through 2030 , and could reach R$1 billion once the goals are met. Flamengo is working to make the new deal the largest sponsorship in Brazilian football.
The relationship began to strain after delays in installment payments, a situation the company admitted, acknowledging difficulties in honoring upcoming commitments . There are indications that PixBet will not exercise the renewal clause and will leave the club.
Flamengo 's board of directors wants to end the partnership in September so that the new sponsor can take over the uniforms immediately. PixBet is pleased with this possibility due to the outstanding amounts , but if an amicable agreement isn't reached, the termination will only take place in December, as stipulated in the contract.
Besides SuperBet and Betano, other bookmakers approached the club but withdrew due to the high fees required. If PixBet's exit is confirmed, the next sponsor will need to cover not only the master contract but also the corresponding amount for FlaBet .
