Eduardo Paes requested that his team speed up the auction process

Rio de Janeiro City Hall is finalizing the details of the notice for the auction of land in Gasologista, intended for the construction of Flamengo's new stadium. To avoid congestion on Avenida Francisco Bicalho on game days, restrictions will be imposed on car access to the area.
According to sources involved in drafting the notice, access to the stadium by private vehicles will be prohibited on Avenida Francisco Bicalho. The city council advised against the construction of a garage building, which was part of Flamengo's original plan, and determined that only the stadium will be built. Alternative means of entry for fans must be developed. The information is from the newspaper O Globo.
In response to the repercussions of the expropriation of the land, Mayor Eduardo Paes asked his team to speed up the auction process. The notice is expected to be launched next week, with the opening of the competition taking place between the first and second week of July, anticipating the initial plan to publish the notice in the first half of July and hold the auction around eight days later .
Representatives from the city hall will meet with the Flamengo board this Wednesday to discuss the premises of the notice. Among the requirements are the presentation of road, urban mobility and environmental impact plans. The minimum bid for the land is expected to be approximately R$150 million, but the city hall ordered a new market assessment due to the current analysis being out of date.
Payment for the land must be made in cash, directly to Caixa Econômica Federal, which currently holds the area. To assist Flamengo in this endeavor, the city council is considering approving a law in the Legislative Chamber that would allow the club to sell the construction potential it has in Gávea, using the resources for the construction of the stadium.

Flamengo isolated themselves at the top of the Brasileirão this Sunday night (30), after beating Cruzeiro 2-1. For the confrontation, Tite could not count on Gabigol, who was removed from the list of related players by the Mais Querido football department. After the game, Marcos Braz opened up about the player's removal.
"Flamengo preferred to remove Gabriel afterwards, but also in a conversation I had with his manager, we had a long conversation after the interview that he gave and we understood that Gabriel has already played five games here", began Marcos Braz, shortly after Flamengo's victory against Cruzeiro.
"If he played here today, he would no longer be able to but even travel with the club if he wanted to or if he had any proposals from Brazilian football. We made the choice to reach this moment now, as the businessman also said he wanted to listen and look for some new paths, we will wait for that. wouldn't make this impossible here", added the Flamengo director.
CLUBS INTERESTED IN GABIGOLLast Friday (28), Gabigol's businessman revealed that he rejected a renewal proposal with the Most Dear. Furthermore, the player has received inquiries from other Brazilian teams and could sign a pre-contract with another club this Monday (1). Grêmio, Santos and Palmeiras are some teams interested in the player.
"Of course, this has time. We think that this will be done in 10 days, making it clear that Gabriel trains with the group, he trains at the same time, there is no problem whatsoever in relation to Gabriel's day to day life, he is being treated with the greatest respect in the world, we just chose a more direct and straightforward way for him to not complete the sixth or seventh game so as not to send a warning about any situation here in Brazil, which today there is still nothing, just to make it clear", concluded Marcos Braz.
FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATIONTherefore, if no proposal arrives from another team for Gabigol, the player will once again be listed for Flamengo's games. However, it is possible that the number 99 will be absent from the team again in the match against Atlético-MG, next Wednesday (3), at Arena MRV.
Journalist gave his opinion on the entire process and was in favor of the construction of the new Flamengo house

Flamengo's behind-the-scenes are always something to talk about among fans and all football lovers. Last Saturday (29), good news ended up resonating. The early elimination of the Chilean team from the Copa América will make Erick Pulgar return early and be available to Tite, again. In fact, with his return, Léo Ortiz may lose space.
In the midst of this, the construction of the Mais Querido stadium continues to have repercussions. In fact, the expropriation of the Gasometer, the land on which the new Flamengo club will be built, divided opinions.
In participation in the Sports Finance program, from UOL Esporte, Paulo Vinícius Coelho, PVC defended the expropriation: “There is a confusion about this thing that the land is public. The important thing is the following: Caixa manages an investment fund called Porto Maravilha and which is part of the process of enabling the consortium urban operation, which was created to take degraded areas and transform them into revitalized areas. It was part of the Olympic project”, he began.
He went further: “And what happened with this viability of the consortium urban operation? It was not viable. You can argue that Caixa wanted to sell it for R$250 million reais and Flamengo could buy it at auction for R$180 million, but the City Hall carried out the expropriation, as in all expropriation they must pay the market value and everything is correct. (…) The land is part of a city revitalization process, so this is the point of discussion regarding public land. Almost all clubs in Brazil had some type of benefit.”
The journalist continued to justify his point: “For example, Palestra Itália bought the land from Companhia Antártica Paulista, but CT is a loan from the City Hall from São Paulo, so there is some benefit. In the case of Flamengo, it is part of the consortium urban operation, which was to revitalize that part of the city, so it makes perfect sense to expropriate it for the benefit of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro”, he concluded.
