President of the assembly explains why the election for Flamengo president falls on a Monday

Flamengo's presidential election is scheduled for the day December 9th (Monday). However, many red and black fans criticized the date of the event, as it will be held in the middle of the week. Thus, the president of the club's General Assembly, Carlos Henrique, explained the reason for scheduling a Monday.
“The statute requires an election in the first 10 days of December. December 1st is Sunday and the day after the Libertadores final. We hope to be celebrating the Libertadores title on 12/01;
– that leaves the following weekend, which is the last round of the Brazilian Championship. Can we guarantee that the CBF will not change the table? No... especially because the previous week is precisely the Libertadores final, which could impact two rounds that would be rearranged;
– Flamengo could be competing for the title on 12/08. How to schedule the election for 12/07? The Club will be very confused by the expectation of the final;
On the other hand, the General Assembly proposed, in an electoral amendment, 2 changes to articles of the Statute:
– bring the vote to the 3rd of November. The Code's statute committee did not approve ;
– implementing remote voting by correspondence and the statute committee also did not approve it;
As a result, we chose to schedule with more than 120 days in advance of the election, so that everyone can plan accordingly. The statute says 40 days.
As a complement:
In 2018 (election was on a Saturday) we didn't contest anything and hence there was no problem.
In 2021, the 3rd fell at the beginning of the 1st week of December and without the risk of changing the round by the CBF, in addition to having scheduled only 40 days in advance and not the more than 120 that we did now”.
WHAT ARE THE ELECTION STEPS?
Flamengo members will vote for the club's new president and vice-president for the three-year period 2025-2027. In addition, they will also have to elect and swear in the representative and vice-president of the Rubro-Negro General Assembly.
Finally, Mais Querido members will have to vote on two more aspects. They are: electing and swearing in the members of the Transitional Body of the Flamengo Deliberative Council and the alternates, in addition to defining the people who will be part of the Transitional Body of the Rubro-Negro Board of Directors and the alternates.
WHAT ARE THE CANDIDATES IN FLAMENGO?
Currently, there are four candidates for the presidency of Flamengo. They are: Rodrigo Dunshee, BAP, Maurício Gomes and Wallim Vasconcelos. Red and black president until December, Rodolfo Landim has already revealed that he supports Dunshee in the next elections, as he has been part of the management since the 2019 season.

Léo Ortiz has demonstrated his admiration for American football whenever he can. Taking advantage of Flamengo's pre-season in the United States, the defender showed his ability with the oval ball. This past Tuesday (14), the athlete 'became' an NFL player during an activity held at the Florida Gators (USA) field.
Through social media, Flamengo shared the meeting between Léo Ortiz and Gerson with Jeremy Crawshaw and LAG, athletes from Florida Gators. After exchanging gifts between the players, the Mais Querido defender made shots with his hand, showing a lot of intimacy with the sport.
