The fate of Gabriel Barbosa, Gabigol, continues to generate expectations in Brazilian football. After deciding not to renew with Flamengo , the striker sees his contract coming to an end, on December 31st, and is attracting the interest of big clubs such as Santos and Cruzeiro. The Santos president, Marcelo Teixeira, revealed that the idol is "shaken" by the possibility of returning to Peixe, but acknowledged the difficulty of returning.
In an interview with Santa Cecília TV, Teixeira highlighted the impact of Santos' attack on Gabigol's decision. "When Santos made this gesture, he messed with the staff and the player. If it hadn't been like that, the fact would have already come to fruition. It wasn't yet due to the fact that you are maturing, on both sides, the possibility of this happening", stated the leader.
PROTAGONISM OR SHADOW IN CRUZEIRO
Despite Santos' desire, Cruzeiro emerges as a strong competitor in the fight for the player. Sources linked to the Minas Gerais club indicate that negotiations are advanced. The presence of Gabigolin Belo Horizonte during the week, rumors of a possible deal with Raposa increased.
ATTACKER CLAIMED HIS LEAVE FLAMENGO
Last Monday (9), Gabigol was interviewed on the podcast "Podpah" and stated that there is still nothing agreed with another team. However, he did not rule out the possibility of defining his future in the coming weeks, which keeps Santos and Cruzeiro attentive. The vice-president of Santos, Fernando Galotti, also commented on the matter during his participation in the Mesa Redonda Trophy.
For him, Gabigol's return is a dream for the club and, even recognizing the financial challenges, he maintains hope. "Of course there is a lot of competition for him, the investment is high, but who knows, we might be able to make this dream come true," declared Galotti. The interest in Gabigol's return is part of Santos' strategy to value athletes who have marked the club's history. Revealed in the Santos youth categories, the striker emerged as one of the great promises of Brazilian football before moving to Flamengo.

The Rio de Janeiro club reportedly offered 7 million euros for 60% of the Santos goalkeeper's rights, but Peixe asked for a higher amount and refused the offer.

Flamengo has formalized a proposal for goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão , Santos' standout player in 2025. According to information from UOL, Rubro-Negro offered seven million euros (around R$45 million) for 60% of the player's economic rights.
Despite the high price, Santos rejected the offer. The São Paulo club believes Brazão should only leave if a minimum offer of €15 million (approximately R$94 million) is met, a sum considered fair by the board to open negotiations.
According to Gazeta do Urubu , the Rio de Janeiro club has not yet made an official offer to the player. Sources within the board revealed that the player is being monitored, but there have been no official talks with the goalkeeper yet.
Gabriel Brazão is in great form and has become one of the most highly valued goalkeepers in Brazilian football. In addition to Flamengo 's interest, European clubs are also monitoring the situation. Torino, from Italy, even submitted a R$64 million offer , which Santos also rejected.
Other giants like Chelsea, Galatasaray, and Porto are closely monitoring the player's progress , as he has played 33 matches this season. Santos' board, which recently loaned João Paulo to Bahia, is working to keep Brazão at least until the end of the year.
