0After the 1-1 draw with Palmeiras, held this Sunday at Maracanã, Flamengo faces concerns about possible injuries to two of their players. The club's medical department is investigating the situation of striker Everton Cebolinha and left-back Vinã, who were sent to hospital for tests.
Everton Cebolinha was substituted 11 minutes into the first half due to pain in his leg left. Initially, Flamengo's medical team reported that Cebolinha left the field with discomfort in his left calf. However, Marcio Tannure, the club's Health and High Performance Manager, revealed to reporter Júlia Guimarães, from Premiere, the suspicion of an injury to the Achilles tendon.
Cebolinha had recently recovered from an injury to the right thigh, suffered on July 31, which prevented him from playing against São Paulo and caused him to come on during the match against Palmeiras, in the Copa do Brasil.
Left-back Vinã felt pain in his right knee in the 43rd minute of the second half after a dispute with the player Fabinho. Due to the five substitutions already made by Flamengo, Vinã remained on the field until the end of the game, but had to leave the stadium in a wheelchair and with his knee elevated.
Tannure explained: “Cebolinha had an ankle injury left, with a suspected injury to the Achilles tendon, and went to the hospital for tests. Viña had a knee sprain, with the possibility of ligament damage, and also went to the hospital for additional tests.”
