According to journalist Cahê Mota, Dorival Júnior put three Flamengo athletes on the radar: defender Fabrício Bruno, midfielder Gerson and striker Pedro. It is worth remembering that the trio have served the national team previously, but were not called up for this year's Copa América.
The tendency is for Dorival Júnior to give more opportunities to Brazilian athletes in this call-up. This is because European football will be at the beginning of the season, with players without game rhythm. It is worth remembering that the Brazilian team is in sixth place in the Qualifiers, occupying the last place in South America for the 2026 World Cup.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

This Wednesday (17), the CBF announced the day that will be the draw for the field hosts for the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil. The event that will take place at the entity's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, will start at 2 pm, next Friday (20).
Still without the field command defined, the semi-final games of the Copa do Brasil are: Flamengo x Corinthians and Atlético-MG x Vasco. Remembering that the dates of the round-trip clashes are October 2nd and 17th.
It is worth remembering that Mais Querido defeated Bahia to qualify for the semi-finals, just as Corinthians got past Juventude. Vasco eliminated Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG beat São Paulo.
Before Flamengo worries about the semifinals of Copa do Brasil, Mais Querido will have another decision ahead. This is because, Rubro-Negro faces Peñarol this Thursday (19th) and on September 26th, in games valid for the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.
