Flamengo faces Olympiacos, from Greece, this Saturday (24), in the Intercontinental U20, the world cup of the sport. The red-and-black listed three players from the professional squad, Lorran, Matheus Gonçalves and Shola, who is old enough to play for the lower team to compete in the competition at Maracanã. However, Mais Querido removed midfielder Lorran from the list.

According to influencer Flazoeiro, in an investigation with FlaBase, Lorran was not released by the red-and-black professional for the final of the U20 World Cup against Olympiacos. Flamengo has several absences in the team and, as a result, the club has players like Lorran to play in the top team and focuses on preparing to face Red Bull Bragantino, this Sunday (24), also at Maracanã.

After being highlighted in the Libertadores U20 title, Lorran had a meteoric rise during the Copa América period, where the main players were defending their teams. However, he lost his production in the main team and, to take him out of the spotlight, the red-and-black preferred that the player return to the lower category to maintain the pace of the game.

Flamengo's professional squad seeks to rediscover its path to victories against RB Bragantino. The club is coming off two consecutive defeats, including a 4-1 defeat to Botafogo in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship. The red-black team is in fourth place in the championship with 41 points, 5 behind the leader, Botafogo. Mais Querido is the only team from the G-4 of Series A that is still in the three main competitions, with a chance of winning the title in all of them.
