Training this Tuesday (15th) was marked by chaos. In the final stretch of training at Ninho do Urubu, Gerson and Varela had a falling out and exchanged punches in the CT. After the incident, Flamengo's board met with the players and it was decided that both would be punished.
Gerson punched Varela's nose, which may have suffered a fracture. The Uruguayan went to a hospital in Barra da Tijuca, where he is being evaluated to decide whether or not he will participate in the game against Grêmio this Wednesday (16).
The meeting between the board and the players ended that both would be punished for the fight in the CT. Typically, undisciplined athletes are fined 5% of their salary and suspended from one game. However, Varela and Gerson will only be fined, being released for the dispute against Grêmio.
Flamengo and Grêmio face each other this Wednesday (16), for the return of the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil. The clubs duel at 21:30 (Brasília time), in Maracanã.
Mengão negotiated the midfielder with Colorado in 2024, but to this day has not received the agreed amounts for the sale, despite more than a year of agreement.

After a year and a half without making the due payments , Internacional was found guilty by the Brazilian Football Confederation's National Chamber for Dispute Resolution (CNRD) of defaulting on the negotiations for Thiago Maia with Flamengo. Internacional had reported the case in November of last year.

Despite the conviction, the Rio Grande do Sul club still has the possibility of appealing the decision. However, at Flamengo , the assessment is that the CBF processes take excessively long , which will likely prolong the resolution of the case even further.
The agreement between the clubs was signed in February 2023 for €4 million, payable in ten installments. Internacional, however, failed to pay any of the installments. The attempt to transfer the player to Santos, even without having paid Flamengo, sparked outrage among the club's board , who blocked the negotiation. Rede Globo has selected its team to broadcast the match between Flamengo and Grêmio , this Sunday (31), for the Brazilian Championship. The duel will be shown on national television, with the exception of the state of São Paulo , which will follow Santos x Fluminense, live from Vila Belmiro.
In the Rubro-Negro game, the narration will be done by Gustavo Villani, while the comments will be made by Júnior and Roger Flores , a traditional duo in the broadcaster's broadcasts for games focused on the Rio de Janeiro public.
Interestingly, the match being shown in São Paulo will also feature familiar voices from Flamengo fans . Diego Ribas and Caio Ribeiro, both former Flamengo players, will be on commentary, forming a quartet of former Flamengo players working as commentators for Sunday's broadcasts.

Flamengo has defined Victor Hugo's future . The 21-year-old midfielder will be loaned to Santos until December 2026. The player already has a trip scheduled for next Sunday (31), when he will be introduced to his new club in Baixada Santista.
