Brazil has 11 medals, two of which are gold, so far in Paris 2024. And many of these achievements are influenced by the country's traditional football clubs. With the gold in diving, won this Monday (05), Rebeca Andrade helped Flamengo to further increase the number of medals in its history. Now, the red and black team has 32 podiums, the first being achieved in London 1948.

Despite the significant number of achievements and the Olympic tradition, Flamengo is not the football club with the most medals in the history of the Olympics. Rival Vasco appears at the top of the traditional teams with 40 podiums. Of Vasco's 40 Olympic medals, 29 were achieved at the Sydney 2000 Games alone, with Brazilian and foreign athletes. The Rio club also appears as the leader of diamonds in history, 9 in total.
