The Flamengo is in the process of planning and building its own stadium, and one of the main novelties of this project is the inclusion of a sensory room aimed at autistic people. Reporter Gabriel Orphão, from the Paparazzo RN channel, brought this information to light, highlighting the club's initiative to create a welcoming and inclusive space for fans with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

In addition to the new stadium , Flamengo is also working to implement a sensory room at Maracanã, which is currently the main stage for Mengão games. The proposal is to offer a comfortable and adapted environment so that people with ASD can watch matches without facing the common challenges of stadiums, such as excessive noise and crowds.

INSIDE THE PROJECT
INSIDE THE PROJECT

A sensory room is an environment specially designed to provide controlled sensory stimuli adapted to the needs of people with ASD. These spaces are equipped with special lighting, controlled ambient sound, toys and objects that help calm and focus attention. The idea is to offer a know-it-all" target="_blank"> refugeinside the stadium, where autistic fans and their families can enjoy the game in a calmer and safer environment.

INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY

The creation of sensory rooms in stadiums represents a major advance in terms of inclusion and accessibility in sport. People with ASD often avoid crowded and noisy environments due to sensory sensitivity. This can cause them to miss the opportunity to experience the excitement of a live football game. With the implementation of these rooms, Flamengo demonstrates a commitment to inclusion, allowing all fans, regardless of their needs, to support their favorite team.

The former captain and number 10 of Flamengo, Diego Ribas, will represent the club in Orlando, in the United States, starting in July. Diego, who had a remarkable career in Brazilian and international football, now joins Flamengo in a new initiative to expand the club's presence abroad.

The project in which Diego Ribas will be an ambassador envisages the creation of camps, which are sports teams aimed at children and teenagers. These camps will be held in several cities in the United States, with the aim of identifying new talents and, at the same time, promoting the Flamengo brand outside Brazil. In addition to the camps, the club plans to open football schools in the country in the future, further consolidating its international presence.

FLAMENGO IS INSPIRED BY WORLD GIANTS

O Flamengo was inspired by similar projects carried out by major European clubs, such as Real Madrid, which has already developed successful initiatives in this model. The strategy is clear: increase the recognition and strength of the Flamengo name worldwide. By following in the footsteps of top European clubs, Flamengo seeks to not only create new opportunities for young players, but also expand its market and influence in global football.

By the end of 2026, Flamengo plans to hold five camps in the United States, two per year. These screenings will not only provide the opportunity for young talent to showcase their potential, but will also serve as a platform to spread Brazilian football culture and Flamengo values among young Americans.

In the last Fla-Flu, played on Sunday, striker Bruno Henrique, Flamengo's number 27, entered the field under difficult conditions. Facing an injury, he had to take medication to be able to play, highlighting the degree of physical impairment he is going through. His situation, which is not simple, has generated concern among both fans and the coaching staff.Bruno Henrique has already faced other injuries in the past, which increases caution with his current condition. Playing at sacrifice is a demonstration of his dedication to the team, but it also raises questions about the risks of aggravating the injury. The pressure to perform in important matches can lead athletes to push their bodies beyond their limits, compromising full recovery and future performance.

FLAMENGO HAS NEWS IN THE CAST

The absence of Bruno Henrique, if the injury worsens, it would be a significant blow for Flamengo. His ability on the field and his tactical importance are undeniable. The team depends on the attacker's speed and finishing power, especially in decisive clashes like Fla-Flu. The decision to play him even though he is injured reflects the need for his presence in the team, but it can also be a double-edged sword.

The classic against Fluminense is always a match of high intensity and great importance in the Rio calendar. Bruno Henrique, despite being injured, didn't want to be left out and did his best to contribute. However, the effectiveness of an injured player is always limited, and the risk of further compromising health is high. The use of medication to cope with the pain shows the seriousness of the situation and the player's determination.

Eight days before the first game of the Copa do Brasil final, between Flamengo and São Paulo, leaders of the Autistas Rubro-Negros and Sou Tricolor Autista fans met in front of Morumbi on the afternoon of last Saturday. Rôsangela Barbosa, mother of little João Pedro, was the representative of Sou Tricolor Autista, while Marcos Felipe Leal, father of teenagers Felipe and Gabriela, was present for Autistas Rubro-Negros.

Felipe and João Pedro inspired the lovers dads to create their respective fans. Despite the different colors, Rôsangela and Marcos Felipe raise the same flag, that of inclusion. The meeting in front of Morumbi had two objectives: to promote peace and defend that people with disabilities have dignity and comfort in football stadiums. The most symbolic gesture in the fight against violence was the exchange of shirts. Rôsangela wore the shirt of the Autistas Rubro-Negros, and Marcos Felipe, that of the Sou Tricolor Autista movement.

"A few hours before a grand final, we from the Sou Tricolor Autista movement, had the opportunity to find the inclusive Rubro-Negro fans. The aim of raising the flag of the opposing fans was to demonstrate that, even among our differences, we have to promote a culture of peace in the stadiums. We don't need to kill each other because we support different clubs. On the contrary : the union between fans can change the world. And we, with the movement of inclusive fans in Brazil, aim to raise the flag of inclusion. Of true accessibility! Let's go, São Paulo" - stated Rôsangela.

Marcos Felipe echoed Rôsangela's words and highlighted that, during their meetings in São Paulo, he and representatives of other inclusive fans expressed opposition to the issue of single fans in stadiums.

"The idea through this meeting with Rô, from Tricolor Autista, and meetings with people from Palmeiras and Corinthians is that rivalry is what matters least. That it is possible for you to support different teams, but with a lot of respect, friendship and affection. This does not change anything about our plans and dreams regarding inclusion. This issue of single fans, for example, is meaningless. We want to try to promote the idea that it is possible to go to the stadiums if you are autistic, wheelchair-bound or anything. And, even if you support different teams, you can watch a game in peace and quiet. It is possible to have fun, play and make fun without violence. This is possible, and this is the message we want to convey through this meeting" - added Marcos Felipe.

Who will lift the Copa do Brasil trophy: São Paulo or Flamengo? The answer will only be given on 24 of September, in Morumbi, but the champions of solidarity, inclusion and love for others left on Saturday. Autistas Rubro-Negros and Sou Tricolor Autista shared the achievement, and the meeting had only winners.
