Fabrício Bruno has Tite's trust and, until now, remains undisputed in the starting line-up of the Red and Black defense, even after the arrival of Léo Ortiz. The former Bragantino defender was bought by Flamengo with starting status, but has not yet managed to take the positions of Fabrício or Léo Pereira.
This Saturday (4), Fabrício Bruno returns to the field to help Flamengo in the duel against Red Bull Bragantino, try to maintain defensive solidity and increase the number of games without being dribbled by rival players.
It is worth remembering that, in May last year, after Flamengo's victory over Bahia, Fabrício Bruno highlighted speed as one of his most positive points, and also launched a challenge to his opponents: “I challenge any striker to beat me with speed”. Since then, the defender has not been surpassed by anyone in the race.
The player is frequently linked by coach Filipe Luís at Mengão, despite being little used in the main team

Joshua, an 18-year-old attacking midfielder , has been attracting attention after excelling in the U-20 Libertadores , the tournament that secured Flamengo a spot in the U-20 World Cup. In the final against Barcelona (ESP), the youngster started. Since then, he has been scouted by European clubs.
Despite the international pressure, the club has no intention of negotiating the player at this time . According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the board's decision is linked to the player's gradual development plan in Brazil.
Flamengo renewed Joshua's contract until 2029 and stipulated a €50 million (approximately R$318 million) release clause . The contract reinforces the club's confidence in the midfielder's potential, as he is already a regular participant in the professional team's activities under Filipe Luís.
So far, Joshua has only made one appearance for the main squad: a late substitute against Botafogo-PB in the Copa do Brasil, totaling 11 minutes of action . However, he has a longer run of appearances with the under-20s. He has played 16 matches, starting 12 of them, demonstrating the club's commitment to giving him a run-in without rushing his final transition.
With Joshua available, the team returns to action on September 14th against Juventude at 4 pm (Brasília time) at Alfredo Jaconi Stadium in Caxias do Sul , for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão. Flamengo is looking to end a long winless streak at the Jaconero stadium. The last time they won there was on October 1st, 1997, when the score ended 1-0 to Juventude, thanks to an own goal by Rodrigo Costa.
The striker, two-time U-20 World Cup champion with Mengão, was traded to the Ukrainian team, but could still bring in money for Mais Querido.

Flamengo has officially sold 20-year-old striker Shola Ogundana to Dynamo Kyiv (UKR). The player passed his medical exams, signed a contract until 2027 and was announced by the Ukrainian club this Monday (01).
Even though his contract expires in 2027, the club opted for negotiations after concluding that the striker wouldn't have an immediate place in the main squad . In the transaction, the club guaranteed financial compensation and retained 50% of Shola 's economic rights. The board is banking on the player's future value, confident in his potential to excel in European football.
Shola shone in Flamengo 's youth academy, playing a key role in their U-20 Libertadores victories in 2024 and 2025. In the second edition, he was named the tournament's best player. The striker also participated in the U-20 Intercontinental Cup victories in the same years.
In total, he played 46 matches, scoring 9 goals and providing 7 assists for the U-20 team . His performance earned him the nickname "Nigerian Rocket" due to his speed and intensity on the wings—a nickname that quickly caught on with the fans.
In November 2024, Shola made his first-team debut against Atlético-MG in the Brasileirão. He replaced Carlos Alcaraz in the second half and made history as the first Nigerian to wear the Flamengo jersey in official competitions, as well as the third African to represent the club.
