Dorival Júnior made his first call-up as coach of the Brazilian national team yesterday (1). The coach called up 26 players who will represent Brazil in friendlies against England and Spain in March. The list announced by the professor caught the attention of the official World Cup profile on social media, which highlighted three players trained in Mengão's youth category.

On Twitter, official profile of the FIFA World Cup highlighted the presence of João Gomes, Vini Jr and Lucas Paquetá, mentioning Flamengo as the players' training team. The three athletes have been having an above-average season in Europe. Of the trio, only Paquetá was away recently due to recovering from an injury, but he returned to the pitch last weekend.

Attached to the post, the profile also recalled Ayrton Lucas' call-up. The full-back does not come from the Rubro-Negra base, however he currently defends the club and will play for the yellow team. Gávea's number 6 will join the team after playing in the Carioca semi-finals for Flamengo.

João Gomes is nominated for the best player of the month award in England

For the Premier League, the created by Flamengo has been shining on the European continent playing for Wolverhampton. The midfielder's performance in the competition qualified him for a nomination in the league's best player award in February. Speculated as a possible reinforcement of Flamengo to fill the gap left by Pedro, striker Anthony Martial is free on the market, but has not played since December 9, 2023. On that occasion, Manchester United, his former club, entered the field to face Bournemouth and lost 3-0 in the Premier League. Martial was a starter and played for 56 minutes.

At the beginning of the year, the French striker suffered a groin injury that required surgery. Therefore, he was away for around 42 days, only returning in March. Even though there were three months left on his contract, Manchester United chose to let go of the player. Since then, Martial has been evaluating his next club and Flamengo is paying attention to his movements.

Just like Flamengo, Anthony Martial suffered from injuries in 2023/24. The star had several physical problems that kept him away from the field for a total of 60 days. Due to muscle pain, the player was not available for United in 12 matches last season.

Access to the stadium's security perimeter will be controlled by a dynamic QR code generated by the application Fla Tickets. Access to the interior of Maracanã will be done through facial biometrics.

Pedro is Brazil's top scorer this season and is back in the Brazilian squad after more than a year. Thus, this past Tuesday (3), the attacker from Flamengo revealed what he learned after participating in the World Cup in Qatar, in 2022.

" The World Cup served as a lot of learning For me and for everyone who played in the first World Cup, there's no way not to learn. I've been through the World Cup process so far. I know how to respect time, wait my time", he said, before completing:

"I also went to the World Cup because of this, I went through difficult processes until I reached the World Cup. I also know the size of the team, which has quality players. Our role is to do our best at the club, on a daily basis, to enter with dedication and work, that's what will take us to the national team", he concluded.
