Right-back Wesley, born in Açailândia, Maranhão, is on the radar of clubs in Italy and Germany, looking for reinforcements for their teams. The player's career has been marked by challenges and overcoming since his childhood. Wesley moved with his family to the Sambaqui neighborhood, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, when he was two years old. His dream of standing out in football took him to Figueirense's youth categories in 2019, but a crisis at the club resulted in the deactivation of its youth divisions, leading to the player's dismissal, who was unable to even carry out tests at rival Avaí.
In August 2019, Wesley found an opportunity at Atlético Tubarão. His rise was remarkable, and at the age of 16, he was integrated into the professional team. However, the club faced sporting difficulties, resulting in a six-month debt in relation to the allowance they provided to Wesley. Wesley's professional debut took place in January 2021, in a 3-0 defeat to Joinville in the Copa Santa Catarina.
At Atlético Tubarão, he played in just five matches without scoring goals. Thanks to the help of former player Sávio, who is also Wesley's manager, the player got an opportunity at Flamengo in 2021, being approved in just two days. Kauã Santos, who arrived at Flamengo at the age of 16, he never played for the Rio club's main team.
