A Record< /b> is back broadcasting the Brazilian Championship from 2025, after a 19-year hiatus. The broadcaster signed an agreement to show 38 games per year from clubs belonging to the Liga Forte Futebol (LFF), one of the two groups that represent the elite teams of Brazilian football. The contract will be valid until 2027, bringing the Brasileirão back to the Record screen, which has historically been one of the main broadcasters of the championship.

The signed agreement stipulates that Record will pay just over R$210 million per year for broadcasting rights. This value, however, is lower than initially expected. The reduction occurred because LiveMode, the company responsible for selling the rights, also intends to sell the same game package to YouTube, allowing the competition to be broadcast on a digital platform, expanding the reach and ways of consuming the games.

A NEW CHANGE IN THE TELEVISION SCHEDULE

With the acquisition of broadcasting rights, Record reinforces its presence on the national sports scene, after years of absence from showing the main football championship in the country. The last time the broadcaster broadcast the Brazilian Championship was in 2005. Since then, the market has undergone several transformations, with significant changes in the way sports content is consumed by fans, including the increased importance of internet broadcasts.

The return of < b>Record to the broadcast of the Brasileirão reflects a trend towards diversification in game viewing platforms. Competition for broadcasting rights between open TV stations, closed channels and streaming platforms has intensified in recent years, following changes in media consumption habits. The sale of the game package also to YouTube is a clear example of this new reality, where the digital audience is gaining more and more relevance.

After the negative result, the red and black fans showed dissatisfaction and booed the team. team, with coach Tite being one of the main targets of criticism. The coach commented on the fans' discontent and projected what needs to be done in the next match.

TITE RESPONDS TO BOOING AND TALKS ABOUT PRESSURE FROM THE FANS< /b>

In an interview after the game, Tite acknowledged the impact of the criticism, but highlighted that he understands the passion of the fans. “Of course it hurts on the human side, but with experience, I understand that when you work well, the fans' reactions are compatible with the love for the club. I have a lot of respect for that. The fans have the right to criticize or boo, and work can reverse this. Now, we need to turn this into a good performance there in Uruguay, win and seek qualification”, stated the coach.

Tite also spoke about the pressure to achieve: “The fan's feeling is legitimate. I feel that too. In football, you win over fans with important titles. If you don't win, the criticism will come. And that’s how you build a story in a club of this size”, added the CRF coach.

CHALLENGE IN URUGUAY: MENGÃO NEEDS A TURNOVER< /b>

With the 1-0 defeat at home, Mengão needs to beat Peñarol by two goals in the return game, which takes place next Thursday (26), at 7pm ( Brasília time), at the Campeón Del Siglo Stadium, in Montevideo, to advance directly to the Libertadores semi-finals. A simple victory takes the decision to penalties.

However, the challenge is great. Mais Querido has not won away from home in the Libertadores since the victorious 2022 campaign. This Thursday (19), Flamengo faced Peñarol in the first duel valid for the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores da América. On a night below expectations at Maracanã, the Brazilian team ended up defeated by a score of 1-0, leaving the fans worried about the team's apathetic performance.

For the match, coach Tite made some changes in the starting team, the most talked about being the departure of Léo Ortiz, who had been playing an important role in the defense. The choice to start with Erick Pulgar in midfield generated criticism, as the Chilean had a lackluster performance, making it difficult for Mais Querido to control the game.

< b>TITE DEFENDS CHOICES AND VALUES PULGAR

When asked about the change between Ortiz and Pulgar, Tite made a point of defending the Chilean midfielder. “Pulgar is a national team player, he was performing well. Léo was playing in a position that he doesn't like so much. The intention was to maintain the team structure. We cannot draw conclusions from an isolated game”, stated the coach, justifying the tactical choice.

Despite the explanation, CRF had a performance that was far from ideal and, at no point, managed to seriously threaten Peñarol. The Uruguayan team controlled the pace of the match, not allowing Rubro-Negro to create clear scoring chances that could at least guarantee a draw and minimize the impact of the result.

< p>NEXT CHALLENGES AND CHANCES FOR REVERSAL

Although the 1-0 defeat is not an irreversible score, Flamengo will need to present a very different stance in the second leg to guarantee the classification for the semi-final of the Copa Libertadores. The next match will be held on September 26th, at the Campeón Del Siglo Stadium, at 7pm (Brasília time). The team needs to win by two goals to advance directly, or at least return the score to take the decision to penalties.

Before thinking about the continental tournament again, Mengão will have an important commitment for the Brazilian Championship. On Sunday (22), the team faces Grêmio, in Porto Alegre, in a match valid for the 27th round of the Brasileirão. The match will be at Arena do Grêmio, at 6:30 pm, and will be crucial to keeping the team in contention for the national title.

Flamengo announced that striker Luiz Araújo was diagnosed with an osteochondral injury in his right knee. This injury involves a fracture in the cartilage, which causes pain and limits the player's mobility. To treat the problem, Luiz Araújo will undergo arthroscopy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure that allows visualization and treatment of injuries within the joint.

This type of injury is not uncommon in high-performance athletes, especially those who place great load on joints, like football players. Arthroscopy is often used in these cases, as it allows direct treatment of the affected area, with less risk of complications compared to more invasive surgeries.

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW PROBLEM

According to information from the specialized website Trivela, the recovery time for this type of injury is around six to eight weeks. This period includes both post-surgical healing and rehabilitation, which is essential for the player to be able to resume his activities on the field safely and without risk of a new injury.

Osteochondral injuries are characterized by damage in the cartilage and underlying bone, usually caused by repetitive impacts or a sudden twist that puts stress on the joint. In the case of Luiz Araújo, the injury occurred in the right knee, which is one of the most affected joints in football players due to constant physical demands, jumping and sudden changes in direction.

A cartilagehas the function of absorbing impacts and allowing smooth movement of the joints. When this cartilage is damaged, movement becomes painful, and lack of proper treatment can lead to more serious problems, such as osteoarthritis, a degenerative condition of the joints. Arthroscopy is a surgical technique used to diagnose and treat joint problems. The procedure is performed with the aid of an arthroscope, a thin instrument with a camera at the tip that allows the surgeon to see inside the joint without the need for large cuts.
