Welinton was one of Mais Querido's highlights in the 2024 São Paulo Junior Football Cup, being the team's top scorer in the competition, with six goals . Furthermore, the striker played as a starter in the under-20 Libertadores, in March, when Rubro-Negro beat Boca Juniors (ARG). However, the player did not find the net in the tournament. In the category's Brasileirão, there were three goals in 11 matches.
DEPARTURE FROM FLAMENGO
The young striker had a contract with Flamengo until July this year, but Rubro-Negro ended up not exercising the right to purchase from Juventude. Thus, the player returned to Caxias do Sul. However, now in September, Botafogo signed with the athlete until the end of December 2024.
It is worth remembering that Welinton's contract with Flamengo was valid until January 2024. However, Tite asked the board to extend the contract for another six months, in order to observe the young man.
VALUE THAT FLAMENGO WOULD HAVE TO PAY
For Rubro-Negro to be able to keep the player permanently, the club would have to pay around R$1 million for 50% of the economic rights. In the contract, the teams agreed that Mais Querido could buy 70% for R$ 1.5 million.

The Deliberative Council of Flamengo voted and approved, this Tuesday, Shopee's new sponsorship. The Singaporean brand will print the sleeves of the shirts of the men's and women's football teams, as well as the basketball team. The sponsorship will yield R$ 12 million fixed to Flamengo. Payment will be made in three installments of R$4 million (February, April and July). There is still a variable value. That's 5% of sales in the Shopee affiliate program.
Thebrand will be on the sleeves of the game, training and warm-up shirt of the men's and women's football teams. In basketball, it is in front of the game, training and warm-up shorts. In terms of comparison, Kwai paid R$10 million for the same space in the 2024 season. The contract with Shopee will be until December 31, 2025.
