Jorge Jesus' time at Flamengo left everyone enchanted and missed, after the Mister took Mais Querido to Eternal Glory. In this way, Rodrigo Caio, Rubro-Negro's idol, recalled the glory days with the coach and praised the coach.
"We had a Ferrari. We believed deeply in his work from the beginning. For me, he was the best coach I already had. RODRIGO CAIO'S PASS TO FLAMENGOThe defender had a long spell at Flamengo. Rodrigo Caio arrived at Mais Querido at the beginning of 2019 and won two Libertadores, two Brasileirãos, one Copa do Brasil, two Supercups do Brasil, one Recopa Sul-Americana and three Cariocas.
The defender did not have his contract renewed with Rubro-Negro and said goodbye to the club at the end of 2023. Since then, the player's name has appeared in the news of Grêmio and Cruzeiro, however, the salary proposals were not satisfied and the defender remains without a club.
WHAT ABOUT FLAMENGO?While Rodrigo Caio doesn't find a new club to play for, Flamengo replaced his departure with Léo Ortiz, ex-Bragantino. Thus, the Mais Querido squad is preparing to face Corinthians this Saturday (11), at Maracanã, in the sixth round of the Brasileirão.

Flamengo drew 1-1 with Cuiabá on Saturday night (6), at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 15th round of the Brazilian Championship. Despite the unexpected result, Rubro-Negro secured the lead in the competition until the end of the round. After the game, coach Tite analyzed the team's performance.
Flamengo was behind on the scoreboard, but pressed throughout the game, managing to equalize with a goal from Pedro. However, the team was unable to break through Cuiabá's defensive block to turn the match around. A highlight of the second half was the replacement of Werton and Lorran with Carlinhos and Matheus Gonçalves, something that Tite explained after the game.
Coach Tite highlighted the performance of goalkeeper Walter, from Cuiabá, as fundamental to the draw. “Walter had a great game, I think there were 11 shots on goal. In a volume created, with a series of adversities, I will not talk about the calendar, I have already said it and I do not want to be repetitive. We had the search until the final moment. The game presented itself, we tried to use two pivots, we replaced the boys to create the alternatives we needed and here is the support for the boys, Lorran and Werton”, analyzed Tite.
GAME STRATEGY
Tite sought greater coordination in midfield, using Gerson and Lorran as play creators. “I wanted to work on the projection. I looked for an articulating player to give more volume. As I have Lorran together with Gerson, who are two articulators, they look for each other, the idea was to have them. Then, we put together a strategy to pierce their middle and lower block (Cuiabá). We had to make the movement in the last third”, he explained.
Tite also highlighted the difficulties faced due to the tight schedule, which hampered the team's preparation. “It’s difficult not to talk about the calendar issue. We analyze the opponent and there is no way to train for this game. You put it on video and try to make sure things arrive on time. It was the third game in a row in less than 72 hours. We weren't able to maintain the regularity to put ourselves in front of the goal, to have a cleaner finish. We have to recognize that, on the other side, Walter was on a bright day”, added the coach.
With the draw, Flamengo reached 31 points, maintaining the isolated lead of the Brasileirão. Next Thursday (10), the team returns to Maracanã to face Fortaleza, at 8pm. Cuiabá, in turn, reached 14 points and occupies 15th place in the table.

This past Tuesday (2), Rio de Janeiro City Hall announced that the city will become the owner of a stock exchange after 20 years. At an event, Mayor Eduardo Paes and the CEO of Americas Trading Group (ATG), Claudio Pracownik, were responsible for confirming the news, which is expected to begin operations in the second half of next year. Furthermore, Pracownik has a stint at Flamengo, as vice-president of finance.
"The new exchange will have its administrative headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. This is very important for the city and the state. Rio will once again be a large business center, attracting investors, and this has enormous relevance. We hope that this will be the initial milestone in the rebirth of the financial market in Rio", said Pracownik, on the Rio de Janeiro City Hall website.
PRACOWNIK'S PASSAGE AT FLAMENGOClaudio Pracownik was vice-president of finance at Flamengo between May 2015 and August 2018, under Eduardo Bandeira de Mello. The new CEO of the Rio de Janeiro stock exchange participated in the financial restructuring of Mais Querido.
THE STOCK EXCHANGEThus, Bill 3276/2024, initiated by the City of Rio de Janeiro, Rio, was approved by the City Council on June 25th, with 37 votes in favor and 5 against. With the new rule, the Tax on Services of Any Nature (ISS) falls to 2%, which is levied on activities to be carried out by a stock, commodities and futures exchange, as well as on activities carried out by companies that operate in trading, settlement and custody of financial assets.
EDUARDO PAES CELEBRATES NEWSWith the partnership, Mayor Eduardo Paes greatly celebrated the news. The politician praised the big brands that are present in the city of Rio. It is worth remembering that Eduardo has been a prominent figure in Flamengo's news in recent months due to the club's negotiations to purchase land for the construction of the stadium.
